It was HOT today! 32c (that's 90f). Kozmo and me - Marvelous Marv love the weather and we have been spending most of the time during the day outside! BUT it is cooling off -- tomorrow, we are expecting some rain. Mom says that would be nice If I showed you where we spend that time!

       This is our deck! As you can see the river has gone down.

We have a cat tree on the deck. The first thing I do when I go outside is jump up to the top and I watch out for Ella! Ella is a huge dog and she does not like cats...if she comes towards our house I run back inside. If she is not, I like to sleep up here.

My Valentine Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful that I have a most beautiful lady cat for my Valentine this week. 

 Penny from 15 and Meowing! 

Penny is a most beautiful Tortie lady cat and I have admired her from afar for a long time. Last week, I read that she did NOT have a Valentine. I sent her an email asking if she would be mine. She said YES! And I sent her a special card. 

She wore the most beautiful red dress!

We all are thankful for our furrends who stop by. We are very lucky to have such wonderful friends who are so beautiful and kind. Keep being AWESOME!

HAPPY Valentines!

 Furrst we have a wish for all of our Furrends

IF you have been to 15 and Meowing you already know that I asked Penny to be my Valentine.  I have admired her since I first came from Iran. She is a most gorgeous and intelligent Tortie. When I discovered that she had no Valentine I felt blessed that I could ask her if she would be my Valentine!  

We are not dating though. Her Dad says she is not allowed to date. It is so nice to have online cat furrends and I, Marvelous am so glad to be furrends with Penny. And Penny, I LOVE the Red dress!

I am so very happy!

Kozmo also has a Valentine to deliver today to his special Lady Cat, Katie Isabella!

I do believe he is heading through the tunnel to deliver some treats to Katie! 

It is Happy Tuesday as well as Valentines Day and I asked Jo Jo what makes her HAPPY and she said she wants to see a Joke!

Who else should we send a Valentine too? Cinnamon said "Sandee"!!!

We got snow and cold weather at the beginning of November (we have gone through 3 months of winter) six more weeks means 1/3 of the year not being able to enjoy the great outdoors. Other than the snoring, Mike was a terrific guest!

Lunar New Years Eve and the Friendly Fill-ins by Mom!

This week we are getting Mom to do the friendly fill-ins.

1. BIRTHDAYS make me feel old.

2. Dancing to the oldies while cleaning the house makes me feel young.

 

3. Recently, being a computer Geek came in very handy. 

4. I think that the new snow plow guy in the village is the most useless one we have ever had.

Thank goodness that since Christmas we have had more seasonable weather.  I was getting tired of having to shovel half the road to get the car out of the driveway.   But I gotta say, snow shovelling is a terrific cardio exercise!

 Today is the Lunar New Year's Eve!

When Mom and me lived in Vancouver it was a really big event. Richmond (a city that makes up part of Vancouver) is more than 80% Asian and South Asian. Seeing all the celebrations, Lion and Dragon Dancers, the parades and the wonderful cuisine was a unique experience. Mom misses it. Many of the people she worked with participated in the events and several of them were Lion and Dragon Dancers. Below is a video of the Lion Dancers getting ready for the excitement. 

One of the exciting things about this New Year is that last year was full of the fierceness of the TIGER! Our Peeps were all freed from the pandemic cages. And lots of things happened all over the world. This new lunar year we will be tamer -- it is the year of the rabbit (and in some countries the cat).
Rabbits, in the Chinese Zodiac are known for their sense of calm and peacefulness. That means this year will be profoundly different as tigers and rabbits represent opposite energies. The Tiger embodies Yang energy and the Rabbit, Yin.
 

Yang energy is associated with fast-paced movement and action—which explains why the Year of the Tiger was “unpredictable, and sometimes even aggressive and chaotic,”

 Yin energy is more laid back, which means we can expect the Year of the Rabbit to be well-suited for reflection, rest, and renewal. That does not mean it will be boring though. It means we have a chance to step back, think about and realize our goals. 

RABBITS are the luckiest of the 12 zodiac animals and Rabbit years are supposed to bring Hope and Prosperity. 

 

All us cats are really looking forward to Mom making Chinese Food tomorrow!
