Sigh! Mom is STILL using the walker! Things are NOT moving as fast as any of us would like, but she is not whining as much and she gets around the house pretty fast! Alex is away for work and although it is cold, Mom has been out on the back deck throwing balls and sticks for the Nutcase!
Now I want to let you know what to look forward to this month! As always, you can download the badges that will be on the Catblogosphere, here sized smaller (300x300).
February is Cat Health Month!
All cats deserve loving caregivers, clean water and food, daily exercise, a safe place to sleep, and entertainment to keep them happy. Celebrating and participating in National Cat Health Month can encourage other cat parents to focus more on their pets’ emotional and physical health.
February is Pet Dental Health Month
Our furry family does not carry toothbrushes around with them and we need to remember their teeth may need attention. if they are a dog, cat, rabbit or other species, we nee to look after their teeth. Dental checks are as important to animals as they are to us and looking after their dental health prevents oral problems they could have in the future. Red gums, stinky breath, or yellow teeth could lead to an oral disease if left untreated, giving your pet a poor quality of life and nobody wants that! Right now, Mom is trying to teach the Nut Case to let her brush her teeth. She does NOT like Mom putter anything in her MOUTH! She has even bought peanut butter tooth paste! Mom's afraid that she will have to schedule regular teeth cleaning with the vet (like she had to do with Cinnamon). This month, let's remember our Pet's teeth!
February is Spay and Neuter Awareness Month
We are not going to go into all the reasons why pets should be spayed or neutered.
Our personal problem is our outside furrend . He needs to get neutered (sigh! Yes Mom and Mary are still trying to get him to the clinic, he is one wily cat!).
There are not a lot of female cats who are NOT spayed around, so we will not be worried about a pletora of kittens (until the city people start dumping their extra cats in the spring-that is whole other issue). Our biggest problem is his spraying his territory! He really makes me, Marvelous, angry when he sprays our back deck cat tree. And this has led to some confrontations! That makes Mom mad too!
Would you believe there are NO special weeks in February!
So, I Marv will leave you with some of our past Valentines Cards for you to view!

ReplyDeleteLots happening for a short month. Helps distract from the winter blues! Sorry to hear mum Barb is still a bit hobbly - but better a slow and THOROUGH mend, than getting too speedy and undoing the good. Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Sorry the healing is taking a long time but you can't try and rush it. Those are sweet Valentines.
