Mutt Day, July 31, 2024
Today is the day to celebrate all mixed breed dogs! Especially to bring attention to the great mixed breed dogs in need of homes.

We do! Our newest family member is a total mutt She is called a Cowboy Corgi! (which means she has Corgi and Heeler in her) and we love every inch of her!
Here is our mutt doing MUTTY er NUTTY things!

ReplyDeletenever heard cowboy corgie, but I know how crazy corgies can be, as in who put that tail there, ha ha.. my son had a black Chihuahua and a Corgie. then they had 5 ChiCorgies, father by the Chihuahua. they kept two and sold 3 puppies. later they had five more, finally they got smart and had the female spayed and ended up for 15 years with 5 ChiCorgies pluse 4 other MUTTS... now all the chi all the corgi are gone but they still have 7 dogs, they keep taking in strays. sound familiar? there 20 year old cat died and so far they don't have a cat. Nutmeg you are adorable

ReplyDeleteI have to admit I had bad first impressions of both breeds. When I worked for a vet many years ago the only dog I got bitten by was a corgi. Several years later a relative who always had Australian Heelers which always snapped but only threatened. When that one died her son got her another which immediately bit me and Ivor when we went to visit. The relative tried to put him in another room and he went for her. She sent him for retraining but you always had to watch he wasn't creeping up from behind.
I am glad to see Nutmeg who looks the exact opposite.

ReplyDeleteRolling around on your back and chasing your tail are always fun to do. We think mutts are great, but that might be because we're mutts too! BOL!
