 National Dog Biscuit Day

Cookies! 

(in my bestest Cookie Monster Voice)

Today is Dog Biscuit Day and Mom told Nutmeg she would make some homemade cookies for her!

 

Mom has not made cookies since Cinnamon went OTB as Nutmeg is not Food/Treat motivated (she has some allergies and many things upset her tummy), but lately she has been expressing interest. Mom thought she would try an new recipe that has only oats, bananas and peanut butter, all things that she can eat!

Oh Boy! I can't wait!

 This is a super simple recipe

 

 Mom dumped everyting into the food processor, (she DID peel and slice the bananas...)

 

 After about 2 minutes, she had the PURRFECT dough.

 

It made 2 purrfect balls! And Mom rolled it out!

 

And she cut out stars! 

 

 

 

And she put them on the cookie sheet. Then they went into the oven. 

The recipe did NOT say how thick to make the cookies. Mom made them different thicknesses so she could "tweak" the recipe if Nutmeg liked them.

 As you can see, the cookies came out different colors. 

 

Furrst,  Nutmeg got one of the darker brown ones,

 

 

And then one of the light brown ones...

 

She says these cookies are the best!

Mom says when she makes these again, they will be the thicker depth and she will cook them for less time. 

 

Oh Yes! The weather was warmer today, this morning it was -5C (23F) and Nuts got to go for a walk with Mom! 

Mom says they will go for one later this afternoon (right now it is 5c (45f)). 
 

Hands down, Nuts says this is the best day this Month! 

February 22, Walk Your Dog Day!

 Walk Your Dog Day!

We had snow this week! 

 

 

It was cloudy and Yucky and then the next day it was BEAUTIFUL and then it snowed and was cold and then it was beautiful and  then it was cold and the day after that it was COLDER and Snowyer...today it ALMOST warmer and it was sunny! 

 

 

 

 Nutmeg wore her sweater on her walks. Nutmeg LOVES her sweater! But do you know what she did not like? She had to stay at home with us because there was too much snow for Mom to take her in and out!

 

It was so cold, and snowy, she did not get to the Centre with Mom when she was doing Tech Support or when she was writing or setting up for Crafts on Thursday. That meant she did not get to visit with all her people furrends and she did not get extra walks! 

 

 AND it was too cold to walk! 

 

So you get to see pictures of Nutmeg NOT walking on Walk Your Dog Day!

BUT I am sure you will before the end of next week! It is going to get above Freezing EVERYDAY starting tomorrow!

 SO, I will post some Photos of Nutmeg walking later in the week! 

 

Here's Me, I wish it was as warm out side as it is here in the sun Puddle! 

I can't wait for tomorrow, I'd like to go for a walk!

February 9th is Nutmeg's Birthday!

Todayis a big day! Nutmeg is 2!

For our Grrl's Birthday, Alex has made a video of a few of the photos he has  taken of her. 

I'll turn the blog over to the birthday grrl! 

 You can't miss my house here in the tiny village of Midway! My bestest Doggie Furrend is our Next Door neighbor Lucy (though her Dad and Alex call her Goose) and she set up a Kissing Booth! Lucy gives the second best doggie kisses (I give the best ones!)

I asked Mom ifwe could do a Paws Patrol (it is my favorite TV show when I get left at home with the cats) Photobooth like she did for Marv a few years ago and Mom said YES!! 

But I did not ask until today...so Mom said that NEXT Monday is Family Day up here in the Great White North and we could post them then!  We made a Photo Booth and I got a great shot of my Bestie Lucy 

 

and Marv got one of Kozmo and Katie Isabella (Thanks for coming over and helping to set up the pawty Katie!) 

And Katie took a terrific shot of Marvelous!

November 23, Thankful For My Dog Day

I KNOW that this day is for Peeps and how much they LOVE their dogs, but us cats can LOVE our Dogs too! Even though I normally appear aloof, I actually get along well with Nutcase and I love to play with her. One of our favorites is "Chase Marv across the yard!"

 

 Nutmeg is great at keeping me laughing! I thought I would share her happy go lucky character with You!

 

What does a dog like to eat for breakfast? Woofles.

 

I thought we were getting a guard dog, but I’ve come to realize we've just gotten a louder doorbell!

BREAKING NEWS

Mom came home from a llloooonnnggg dentist visit in the Okanagan. she got to drive home in the dark through a very thick fog that had many many deers bouncing across the road! By the time all the car made it over the pass, there were about 24 vehicles (nobody wanted to pass and everyone was going about 20-40 miles an hour). Mom was a little stressed and tired out when she arrived, but the house was clean! Us cats greeted her at the door (as did Nutmeg) and there was something new and sparkling on her side table.

LOOK what Alex made for Mom!

A 3D printing of the Spirit of Ecstasy.
 He used a double-sided filament that makes the sculpture look metalic green on one side and gold on the other. 

Mom's Rolls now has Spirit! 

All Mom has to do is figure out how to mount it on the Roll Bar!
