Wow! A Whole NEW month! It's April and its going to be FUN!! As always, April's badges are available at a smaller size (300x300).
First up is the April Calendar
There are LOADS of things happening:
APRIL IS CANINE FITNESS MONTH
April is Canine Fitness Month and it is to remind us how prevalent obesity is and for us to keep our dog active and fit. Nutmeg is young (she is now 14 months old) and furry energetic. When our human bro is working out of town, Mom has trouble getting her exercised as much as she would like. She LOVES to chase Alex on his one wheel, she loves to go to work with Alex at the mill and play chase with Ruger.
APRIL IS PET FIRST AID AWARENESS MONTH
During this season, many families and pet parents are able to enjoy the
outdoors with their pets with activities, such as hiking, camping, and
outdoor picnics! National Pet First Aid Awareness Month highlights the
importance of first aid. With all the physical activity and outdoor
adventure packed in the season of spring, there will always be the risk
of accidents and unwanted injuries—so it’s always good to be prepared.
So now that you know about National Pet First Aid Awareness Month, Do You have a First Aid Kit?
Some tools to keep in your pet first aid kit include:
- Absorbent gauze pads and rolls
- Adhesive tapes
- Cotton balls
- First aid scissors (with blunt end)
- Tweezers
- Disposable gloves

APRIL IS PREVENTION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS MONTH
Even though ASPCA works to prevent cruelty to animals all year long, April is special at the ASPCA because it is officially Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Month!
Mom is super busy this month, so for your entertainment, we are showing you a video of Nutcase er Nutmeg getting some swimming in to celebrate Canine Fitness! (Purrsonally, I, Marvelous think anyone who goes swimming in March is crazy!).
Happy April Fools Day!

ReplyDeleteYeah, far to chilly yet for a dip... but you know, each to their own! Golly, the year is already a quarter done. eeeeekkkk... hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
oh yes... ruger is the mirror image of cinny...
ReplyDeleteRuger does look so much like Cinnamon. Nutmeg is crazy wanting to swim in that cold water, but she looks like she was really enjoying herself.
ReplyDeleteLots of good info there! #1 and I have been on a fitness kick this past week and we plan on continuing our two long walks a day!
ReplyDeleteWoofs,
Ollie
Dear Marv, as a dignified girl kitty in a pristine grey onesie, I would nevfur evfur git in water. It would surely ruin my "do" fur the rest of the day. Let alone having to lick myself dry, mol. Lynn snagged a couple badges and we will use them later on. I got out on my catio Sat and Sun morn, but not today as it is back to freezing temps. No April fool there, just mother nature acting up. I am sure my BFF Jo Jo would not take her furs into the river either. Precious
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Happy April Fool's Day! Our Dada says he is trying to keep the date in mind with everything he reads today ..."
ReplyDeleteMOL!!! nutbunny izza so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love all of you. I really love Marvelous Marv.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marvelous Marv and a big hug to mom. ♥
There are lots of events this week. How lucky for Nutmeg that you have the water so close to your house for her to swim in.
ReplyDeleteHappy April. Great badges and Marv looks a little different! MOL
ReplyDeleteHappy April, sweet friends! Yes, Ruger looks so much like Angel Cinnie. Definitely a family resemblance. We love that fun art of you, Marv. XO
ReplyDeleteYour mom did a great job on all the badges- and that is no April Fool. XO
ReplyDeleteThe badges are fabulous, now I need something to help me remember to use them!
ReplyDeleteFun to see Nutmeg go fetching in the river!
ReplyDeleteAnd so good to read in a previous post that you arer now able to get outside...slowly but surely gertting back to where you want to be. Keep it up!
