I was't thankful at first, but now I am!
Way back when I had my operation in March, Mom bought me a new orthopedic bed. Mom took my old bed (which was originally Bob's bed) and put it in the garage and I ignored the new O-Bed. I slept on the floor. After 2 nights, Mom broght the old bed back into the living room and I slept in the living room at night until Mom put the old bed back in its place in the bedroom.
I still kept ignoring the new O-Bed.
July, just after Mom started painting - I ignore the O-Bed |
When Alex started to lay the new floor, Mom moved my O-Bed (and a ton of other stuff), onto the deck and Kozmo started sleeping on it.
Kozmo on MY bed! |
Yes, the cold breeze from under the door now it is cold, makes my arthritis bother me |
There is lots of room if you want to sit with me! |
We are Thankful for you ALL!!!

we hear ya... to share a bed can be bad sometimes LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm an only furchild so I don't have to share my beds with anyone unless Mackie comes for a visit and then I make mom wash the blankies when he leaves to rid them of his cooties.
ReplyDeleteCinnamon, I was very happy to hear from Marv that your old bed wears back where it belonged in the bedroom and you slept on it. What a lot of work your mom and human brother have done to make a new house for you. He had some sun for a few days and a little Indian summer, now it's all gone and it's cold again. But I stuck my nose out the bathroom window this morning and sniffed all the cold air right after I threw up all my breakfast. Precious
ReplyDeleteWe usually ignore new beds but the cat will always jump right in. Eventually, we realize we do want the bed and we start using it. The more you sleep on it, the more it smells like you and it gets more comfy. Enjoy your new bed and keep that cat out of it!

ReplyDeleteI think Kozmo deserves some thanks for demonstrating how good your O-bed really is, Cinnie!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
You made me smile, Cinnamon. Our Angel Little Bit did the same thing with a new bed. Wouldn't sleep on it at all. Never did either. I'm thankful you did.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof Thankful Thursday. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marv and a big hug to your wonderful mom. ♥
Hi Cinnamon, nice to meet ya. So you live with cats, huh? Wondering what that would be like... but our Dad's allergic -- really allergic -- to cats, so we'll never find out. We've all tried out each others' beds, but we know which ones are our own special ones.
ReplyDeleteChia: Except for Xena who keeps sleeping in my bed in the big kennel!
Xena: It was my kennel first, and can't help it if your bed got put in there!
Since we've had both he's had two new beds and it took him a long time to get to where he would lay on either one of them he preferred the old beds that belong to the old dogs but now he sleeps on all three beds there's one in the closet one in the bedroom and one in the living room and then of course he has the sofas and the mats and the rug and anywhere else he wants to sleep. Sorry the cold air is hurting your bones
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how you had to wait until one of the cats laid on that new O-bed for you to take notice of it, Cinnamon. At least now you know how comfy it is.
ReplyDeleteLulu: "We understand, Cinnamon! It's one thing to have your own bed and not use, but it's quite another when somebody else tries to sleep in your bed that you're not using. It's like when somebody tries to take the toy you aren't playing with. That makes it much more valuable!"
ReplyDeleteI believe in having a variety of beds. I have at least three, plus my sofa!

Oh your doggie is a handsome one ~ sweet photos ~ glad he likes the sofa ~ Your Autumn header photo is awesome ~ good luck with your renovations ~ Xo

That is super cool sweet Cinnamon and we're glad you like your new bed now, it does look pretty comfy! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you decided to like it. :) XO
ReplyDeleteAnything new that wasn't your own idea needs an ignoring and then a breaking in period.
ReplyDeleteI think your mom and your kitty worked together to use some psychology on you to get you in the bed.
ReplyDeleteThat bed looks SO comfy, Cinnamon. I’m glad you’re finally sleeping on it. ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteCinnamon, you are part cat. HAH! When TW buys (or wins) me a new bed, I ignore it. I have a wonderful arthur-itis bed that I've never used and a Christmas tree tent. I ignored the She-Shed for months cos I had the igloo. Then Aunt Pauline died and I refused to sleep in the igloo she gave me again. Now I spend most of the day in the She-Shed.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you DID start using that new bed!
ReplyDeleteI Benji will lay on the floor in front of Dalton in his bed, and I will ruff and gruff and tease him till he decides to jump off to play with me, but then I get up and jump into HIS bed...BOL! If I am in my bed, he'll just jump in and cuddle up behind me.
That looks like a really nice bed. We have lots of beds that we ignore.
ReplyDeleteThat bed looks very soft and comfy.
