Yes! We are still here!

Hi Guys...Mom and Alex have been busy, and us guys have been enjoying the summer! We have had a few emails asking how we are and I thought I should let you know what we have been up too! We LOVE summer. It is warm enough that the sliding door is open and w can come and go through the cat door whenever we want. Alex works from 2 in the afternoon until 10:30 PM and sometimes it does not get closed until Alex get home, well that stopped and Mom made us come in when she went to bed (around 9). You know why?

Jo Jo!

Kozmo and me have brought Mom presents of our garden pest reductions. Yes, we brought her dead Voles, Moles, Shrews and Mice. Jo Jo decided that she would bring in MICE to play with. Not once but twice! And of course they escaped from her and they managed to take up residence behind the stove. Mom and Alex had to set traps and it took a couple of days to trap them. Mom and Alex were NOT amused and Jo Jo got a stern talking too when she brought in a third (which Mom caught as soon a s Jo Jo dropped it by throwing a towel on it and throwing out side). Jo Jo was given a stern talking to. Alex caught her bringing in a fourth and stopped her from opening the cat door with a broom. So far, she is remembering that live rodents belong outside.

Mom and Alex have moved all the furniture in the living room. Right now all that is in there is Mom's desk (she is on the tech team for a non-profit and facilitates Zoom sessions so her desk was the furrst thing set up, even before the TC and sofa! Cinnamon's new dog bed was out on the deck and Kozmo decided it is the purrfect place to relax. He liked it to much that Mom brought it in because he wanted to sleep out there all night. Doen't he look comfy?

Mom has had to do a lot of trips to the big city to pick up stuff for the house renos but has been too hot for Cinnamon to go with her. She has missed her rides. Today Alex was laying the new floor in the kitchen, so Mom drove to Grand Forks to pick up some take out for supper for her and Alex and because it was a little cooler, Cinnamon go to go! Here she is "Thanking" Mom with kisses!

Yes, there was much giggling.

And lastly is Me! Marvelous! I love to sit on the deck rail and view my domain (and keep an eye on Mom). I purrticularly like to sit here when she is journaling or watch her from here when she is gardening.

We are going to have our Ussies on Selfie Sunday at The Cat On My Head and Mom and Me are going to try to get around and visit everyone after she does some painting (yes, Mom is STILL paining the house, she is old, decrepit and it takes forever as this has been neglected for too long.

Please click on the Cat on My Head's button to be magically taken to Selfie Sunday Central!

  1. Good to hear you all are still doing well and keeping busy. Our cat bro Bert brought a live mouse to the door a couple weeks ago. Mom would not open the door and he was pissed. Since then he hasn't tried again. Cats! Enjoy the rest of your early fall!

  5. Glad to hear that all is well. Snoops keeps the rodent population down inside. She would not appreciate having extra work brought in from the outside. :)

  9. I am glad to hear you are all doing well. I rarely had a problem with live mice being brought in. Flynn would catch them and play with them, and when they stopped playing he would give them to Eric to eat. Renos are hard work. We have just remodelled the bedroom and put in a walk in wardrobe. I should have said Ivor, not we! Why he couldn't have done it 20 years ago when it would have been easier is beyond me!

We are certain Mummy would freak out if any of Us were to bring home live mice. Or dead ones either, come to think of it. Hmmm - that would certainly be amewsing to watch (mol).

  13. Well, that was a mice CATch up Marv. I'm glad you are enjoying the hot weather. Me and Dani not so much. You kitties are very naughty aiding and abetting those mousies. It's nice that your Mom just puts them back outside rather than killing them. At least your Mom gets kisses from Cinnamon --- hmmm, cinnamon kisses sound lovely!

  21. Jo Jo I am so proud of your mouse catching. I keep wanting to reach out the back door and snag one of the Chipmunks but Lynn won't let me. I don't know why humans interfere with our live toys. Once again Lynn apologizes for being late to the party. We hope not to miss anymore of your blogs.
