I'm a puzzle! |
I told Mom that we needed to post and let everyone know that we WILL be back!
There is a school board meeting coming up where the trustees are supposed to be voting about the school. We are hoping that we can get them to work with us and postpone the vote or reject the closure.
It has been tough as there has been a lot of miscommunication coming to the board and the communities involved from the administration, as to the reason "WHY?" We do believe we have figured it out and are hoping by meeting with our trustee, and sending only a single representative to the Board Meeting that we can forestall this decision.
Thanks for your patience.
Marv and Mom
Sending positive vibes!

ReplyDeleteI do hope the meeting with the trustee goes well.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely arty portrait of you, Marv, and thanks for the puzzle.
Something to keep in mind, that an expert on the differences between Eastern and Western cultures told me.
ReplyDeleteShe's been to meetings where there is a discussion ongoing, and the people from Western cultures are talking up a storm, all at once, everyone wanting to put in their two cents worth. Those from the Eastern cultures talk quietly among themselves and then select one representative to give their opinion.
The reaction of the Westerners to the one person is to simply disregard him/her as being only one, not understanding that s/he represents the opinion of the whole group. Westerners are so fixated on everyone expressing an opinion and getting out there and stating it that they cannot see past it to the idea that sometimes one person represents the ideas or opinions of a whole large group.
In sending your one person, be sure you aren't simply misconstrued as this being the opinion of one. Make sure it's understood this one represents a large group or the majority opinion of the area about the situation.
If that's not possible, then as big a group as possible, extremely well behaved and all obviously supporting the one representing them, might make a stronger point.
Just something to think about.
However it plays out, i am on your side and praying for a good outcome for all involved.
Praying you get to keep your school. Very nice art. Thank you for the puzzle. XO
