FIRST THE SPARK
Gosh! The wild fires just keep getting bigger! And they are happening In California, Greece and Turkey! We are grateful that the only problems we have had has been the internet and that we are at the highest stage of water restrictions. Our Spark this week is about FireFighters who are on the front line at the devastating fires around the world!
McGuffy’s, who was hosting the Sparks, is on hiatus. She says “I truly do believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. There is hope. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
NOW THE AWWW-Some
And with the wild fires, the Canada Geese have been forced from their lakes as the water bombers and the helicopters picking up buckets have made the lake too dangerous. A flock of them has moved and is living in the river behind the house. They are NOISY! But they are gone most of the day to the local hay field eating grass.
I asked Hank if he would like to do Awww-some jokes with me and he agreed! He is a funny guy and his jokes are just like mine!
His wife, Mel-hissa knew the answer!
Then Mel-hissa told a Joke!
I like these geese! I wonder if I could get them to write me some material... Then of the geese swimming on the river chimed in...What do you call a goose in a tuxedo telling the news?
Hank Honked back - He's a Media Proper Gander...
It started to get out of hand! The Geese were honking back and forth, and then they started making DUCK JOKES!
Why are ducks so good at fixing things?
They really know how to use duck tape.
Q: When do ducks wake up?
A: At the quack of dawn.
They kept it up for about 15 minutes! Who knew that Canada Geese tell jokes when they are all gaggling like that!

ReplyDeleteLOL - oh those geese, they are birds of a feather, eh?! I loved your selfie, Marv, but not so much the news and approve of the spark today. Crazy climate... hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Hahaha. Oh, Marv. You are funny.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget firefighters save pets too!
So many fires everywhere. The world is a scary place.
ReplyDeleteThose geese are full of jokes!
We constantly pray that the firefighters stay safe - they are trying to save everything else and it's a big and dangerous job. As for your geese - well they are noisy - we have a pond close by and hear them coming in for a landing often. I didn't know they could tell such fun jokes though!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
We LOVE Canadian Geese (not so much the clean up when they depart ...). PAWS UP to all our firefightes worldwide ... my Daddy spent his entire worklife as an auditor with an insurance company. His "other job",
ReplyDeletethe one he took most pride in ~ a lifetime of service as a volunteer fireman in his rural, country community. At his passing, hundred of firemen and trucks from all over led the funeral procession and in his honor, "old no. nine" was officially retired at the station where he served.
I'm so glad the geese could give you a few jokes, because that heat is not a joke of course neither are the wildfires. We've had some very dark cloudy days that have been due to the Smoke Haze floating thousands of miles far away. I can't imagine what it's like when you live that close to it. So keep those geese under control they might try to come into the house.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you back with your jokes again. We are sorry you have those awful geese. Thankfully there is construction near us where they usually hang out so we are not seeing them much. Mom says they need to go back to Canada where they came from and stay there. Pretty birds yes, but they are just awful to have around.
ReplyDeleteThat's a wonderful Spark. Firefighters are great!
ReplyDeleteThose geese are pretty funny.
The Florida Furkids
nothing funnier than a gaggle of geese comedians and the Media Proper Ganda is killing me with laughter.
ReplyDeleteFirefighters are the best. Excellent Spark.
ReplyDeleteLove all the funnies. You know how much I love Marv.
Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marv and a great big hug to mom. ♥
We have our paws crossed for all the firefighters working to stop all the fires around the world. Those Canada geese are too funny! BOL!
ReplyDeleteWe're hoping those wild fires start going away soon, and can't imagine being a fireman having to deal with all that.
ReplyDeleteWe get lots of geese around this area too. They march around the mall roads and parking lots, blocking traffic and leaving gigantic green glops of poo everywhere.
We'll have to tell Dad those jokes. LOL BOL!
Firefighters are heroes for sure! I didn't know geese were so funny. I guess a gaggle of geese giggling can be pretty noisy.
ReplyDeleteThe firefighters are truly heroes! Your goose jokes sure made us smile, Marv☺
ReplyDeleteLove firefighters, my late fil was a firefighter. Love the picture of Marv by the river, and hey, those are such clever and funny geese!

ReplyDeleteWe appreciate our firemen, but not our geese.
ReplyDeleteThose geese are a wonderful laugh riot, you'll have to have them as guests again.
ReplyDeleteFirefighters are special peeps, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWe have loads of geese around here, too...and they are protected! Imagine that!

We celebrate fireman and all the smoke jumpers who are doing such great work! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteThose jokes had us laughing and meowing. That Migrate took us a second to cat-ch but HA HA MOL MOL!
Thanks friends we really needed that
Ha! Those geese have good jokes, Marv! And we really like Mel-hissa's name!
ReplyDeleteWe are so grateful for those wonderful and brave firefighters.
Catching up on the jokes today as we deal with the warm dry weather.
ReplyDeleteYour geese are so funny! Gramps used to always tell TW the earth was going to be destroyed by fire. She's getting very worried. Stay safe. Better yet, pick up the crew and move over here.
