In Purrsuit of Flavors - Cinnamon Sweets

Hi Guys! We are doing a WORDY WEDNESDAY this week!

We are pawticipating IN PURRSUIT OF FLAVOURS with

The Canadian Cats (Shoko & Tybee)

and The Boys (Nellie & Phenny)

We have really enjoyed their creations and we wanted to pawticipate. This month it is supposed to be sweets. At Christmas, Mom promised Cinnamon she would bake her some cookies and that did NOT happen. We thought it was the purrfect time to make those Peanut Butter and Bacon cookies that Cinnamon wanted.

First, we turned on the oven and got all the ingredients together.

Then we made the dough (we used Mom's mixer). Jo Jo could smell the bacon and jumped up to see what Mom was doing
(Mom laughed and laughed about Dough-Jo, we did NOT get it...)

We rolled out the dough and cut the cookies. Mom found the dough was really easy to roll and it did not stick too bad. The dusting of flour worked wonderfully well.

We put the cookies on the sheet and put it in the 350(f) oven.

And we baked them (15 minutes was purrfect)!

When they had cooled, Mom put the cookies on a plate and took them to the living room.

Kozmo appeared (as if by magic) and was into them right away! He LOVED them!

(Mom had to break the cookie into cat treat size bites)

Cinnamon was ready for the taste test!

She wanted MORE! Mom also broke some cookies up for Jo Jo and Me and we LOVE them too! Mom had to put them away, Cinnamon, Me, Jo Jo and Kozmo have been mooching around ever since.

I have been trying to get the container open!

We give them 16 paws up! We ALL Loved  them (even Mom and Alex ate some)

All in all it was a pretty easy recipe, (click here to go to the site Mom got the recipe from) Mom used the blender to turn the oatmeal into Oat Flour, the top came off and the kitchen was all oat floured...and there were lots of HBO words...

We read in the comments about the cookies that 15 minutes was the right amount of time and that was purrfect!

If making them again, Mom will use a pizza cutter to make cat sized treats and she would shred the carrot smaller. The dough was easier to work with than most cookie doughs and rolled out easily.

We are going to pawticipate in Wordless Wednsday Any Way! This is our Wordless Photo!

Its time to cleanup...where did everyone go?

  7. Those cookies sound delicious and came out looking quite nice. I would give all the dirty dishes to the dishwasher. No one wants to mess up their paws doing dishes.

  8. I see everyone approved and not just Cinnamon. Adorable, but that's a lot of dishes to wash. I'm come over and help.

Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. Scritches all around and especially Cinnamon for having to wait for so long. Hug to the mom. ♥

  13. A super idea from southern BC. Mom couldn't screw this up like the other food she made for us? I wish we were there cause everybody likes your cookies.....usually mom's goodies for kitties is not worth the time it takes to give her a Siamese dirty look.
