It has been snowing, almost constantly since Monday. Every morning when Mom and Cinnie go for a walk they see Raccoon tracks.
Some of the raccoons have a den in a culvert that goes under the road at Haynes Street.
Mom got a great shot of the tracks. She thought they would look cool as a kaleidoscope.
Walking home, they saw the raccoon that lives in the culvert between our House and Mr Fs. Mom took several shots as she thought he would look great for Selfie Sunday but it was too blurry.
And you know what we do with blurry pictures...we turn them into art! This time we just used PhotoShop. We de-blurred him, we used burn, we used dodge, we changed the brightness, then we used a couple of filters, added a rainbow layer and changed the Top layer opacity and
Voila!!!
Meet our neighbor Bandit!
Bandit is really happy to be part of Caturday er Critterday Art! You can click the picture to go and make the jigsaw puzzle!
I even got him to sign our waiver
(who can trust a wild raccoon--those guys take everything that's not tied down!)
We are pawticipating in Athena and Marie's Caturday Art
Caturday Art is a chance for all pets and their humans to get creative
with their photos.
And if you're an artist feel free to share your animal art as well. We'd love to see it! But the focus of Caturday Art Blog Hop is to get artsy with your pet photos by adding filters (there are many free photo editors and apps available, as we're sure you all know.)
Have fun!

We don't like raccoons but we must say, they are artistic. We love the waiver. It is too good.
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing you got that waiver signed, you wouldn't want to end up in raccoon court. They'll take everything. ; )
ReplyDeleteOh, A Coonie!! We used to have a lot of those here, stealing all the bird feeders...not just the seeds but the feeders! They ripped some right off the windows as well...brazen little rascals. MJF even snagged himself a young one years ago...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the puzzle, that will be a doozy! LOL!
Raccoons always look so cute. Their paw prints are so dainty and make a lovely kaleidoscope. Love the art too, and thanks for the puzzle.
ReplyDeleteVERY cool artsy raccoon! Love the kaleidoscope too. We love raccoons - they are so clever and the babies are so adorable. Mom leaves cat food on the front porch for any passing kitties who need food and a warm bed - often we look out and there's a raccoon having a snack!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Very cool, silly raccoon artwork. Dad says that with all the critters he's been seeing around here he's surprised not to have seen any 'coon tracks. There's definitely signs all around us of the bears, deer and turkeys he's already seen, and even some very, very big paw prints in the mud next door that are not likely a dog.
ReplyDeleteYou sure have some cute neighbors in your neck of the woods!
ReplyDeleteOur mom says she sees critter tracks (that probably include raccoons too) on our driveway but we rarely see them during the day. Bandit looks cool in the artsy picture.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that kaleidoscope image is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThe artwork is terrific, and I'm off to puzzle...thanks!
Ohhhhhh I love Mom's creative eye on the drain cover!
ReplyDeleteHappy Saturday
Hugs Cecilia
The worst critters we have in our neighborhood are Squirrels. At the nursing home where ghostwriter works, they get an occasional stinky skunk around the dumpster.
ReplyDeleteWe love how the snow made the manhole cover look like a work of art!
i think you must have a pawyer in the family to write up a furry contract like that. here i call raccoon "Rocky" when they trundle by on the patio. sometimes i
ReplyDeletesee one out the bathroom window when my head is hanging outside. fun furry art work, your mom does a lot.
Those are cool pictures, both the tracks and raccoon portrait! Raccoons can be really pesky but they are such interesting little animals!
ReplyDeleteThe art came out great!
ReplyDeleteLulu: "It's raccoon pawprints all the way down!"
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! We've never seen a raccoon!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Tama and Genji
I think that's the first raccoon selfie art I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteha ha love the waiver! Nice to have them living nearby-something interesting to look out for in winter! (hope you can avoid the D Marv!!)
ReplyDeleteHe's SO cute and we love your art. The kaleidoscope is super cool!
ReplyDeleteWe have some visiting raccoons but my human thinks they are annoying.
ReplyDeleteThat art of Bandit sure turned out nice. Good job getting him to sign that waiver, too!
ReplyDeleteWe really love the kaleidoscope creation!!! And Bandit made a great guest for the Caturday Art.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We forgot - we would love to be your Valentines, if you will be ours too:)
ReplyDeleteGood idea to make him sign a waiver. The only animal one can trust is a cat. Very nice art. XO
ReplyDeleteThat is a great kaleidoscope! Your is guest is cute. You did great with the blurry picture of the raccoon.
ReplyDeleteKozmo...will you be my Valentine?
ReplyDeleteHAH! What a great waiver! Love the colorful art. I'm gonna have TW try the puzzle but we're always last.
ReplyDeleteLove the kaleidoscope and the art. You should be a lawyer!
