Can you believe it is the LAST month of 2024!?! Wow! We can'tbelieve that we have been creating Badges since June! My but time flies when you are having fun. And speaking of FUN December is always full of fun at Casa De Marv!
This month we have 2 month long events! First up it is Cat Lover's Month! We have loads of Cat Lovers here in our teeny tiny village. Loads of people have been dropping by to help take care of Mom and her broken leg and I, Marvelous have greeted (and loved) every single one of them! Mr Kozmo and Jo Jo are way more elusive. (They hide UTB) I, make sure that each visitor gets rubbed across their legs and that I have distributed my furs on their pants. I rub my face in their hands and (gasp) I have actually sat on some laps! Mom was gobsmacked the first few times.
Next up, it is Gift Your Shelter Month. Our local shelter is a non-profit. They are also to organization that Lucifer will go to for his neutering before he comes back to Midway. I asked and they said they needed the “go-to” items. Their wish list includes items they use every day. A few of their “go-tos” are: cleaning supplies like paper towels, liquid bleach, spray bottles and disinfecting wipes, towels and washcloths, nail trimmers, non plastic food and water bowls, food grade storage containers, measuring cups, baby bottles and litter.
Cat Lovers month sounds very good. We usually take beds, toys and dried food to our local shelter before Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLove that you share the stories behind these events, it makes them much more meaningful and impawtent.
ReplyDeleteBut now, get that silly tree off poor Nellie Bellie's head, I see a bird nesting in there who is likely to poop on her nose any minute now!
falalallalala Whatever is my motto. love it. I tried to use Whateversandra for Gmail but it was taken a few hundred times and I went with nevermindsandar because what ever and nevermind are my favorite words.
ReplyDeletethank for the dates, will save them and hope to remember to do them. we donate to our shelter during the year, they go on FB and put out a needs list and also keep a running list on the web site. they always need peanut butter. and all the things you listed.
So many things happening this month! Thank you for taken so much time to create the images as well as the details of each.

PS, not though she could ever be last, but she is the greatest, we love Nellie celebrating her style.
Didn't know about Cat Lovers Month, so thanks for that!
ReplyDeleteHard to believe we've made it to December; I swear it was May just a minute ago...
Marv, you are so furry brave to shed furs on strangers even if yer mommy knows them. My furs are reserved fur Lynn only. Cat lovers month oughta be all live long year. Bring-in foods sound temptin', did you all git any of it? We are sending lots of healing purrs fur yer mommy. Tell the rest of the fur family we said hello. Precious
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Spreading furs to strangers?! I only do that indirectly by leaving furs on the furniture that they might pick up when they sit on it while I hide under the sofa ..."
ReplyDeleteThanks for the most wonderful event badges and we look forward to you finding your tree Marv!
ReplyDeleteThere sure is a lot to celebrate this month. We hope you can find your Christmas tree in all those boxes. BOL!
ReplyDeleteLots going on this month. I like all the badges and the one of Angel Nellie at the end of the post. XO
ReplyDeleteI can’t believe it’s December already either! But it’s a month jam-packed with things to celebrate.
ReplyDeleteThose are some great month-long celebrations, Marv. Good job greeting the helpers like you do. We're keeping up the healing purrs and prayers for your Mom.

Lots going o this month, that's for sure. We are glad that you too support the lov[cal shelter. There is a g=big load of food in petcretary's van that is destined for the shelter where Dalton came from. (They have both cats and dogs...)
ReplyDeleteSending lots of healing thoughts to your Mom, Marv!
(Our Simba and Toki were the greeters here, back in the day...one even wanted to lick stranger's hair, if he could gert a chance, LOL!)
It's great to hear you are greeting your mom's helpers so nicely. You might remind your companions it's these people who are making sure you get your mama back safe and sound and on her feet again properly.
