Why have you not been blogging Marv?

Can you spot me in the tree?

 Me. snoopervising

Several of our furrends have sent us emails (nellieontheedge at gmail.com) asking why we have not been blogging... Here is a copy of the email Mom sent to Ms Ellen at 15 and Meowing! We should really respond to each of you, but Mom can't right now. She is limited to only about a hour a day on her laptop, so it has mostly been her emails, bills and all that other Peep stufff...Purrsonally, I, Marvelous, do NOT think that is fair.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the email, I guess I should have let people know. why I have not been around. Back in 2001, I was in a severe car accident and broke a bone in my inner ear along with a severe concussion. This affected my entire life for about 5 years and changed my occupation from high powered computer geek to training and writing about software. Since then, I go through periods of dizziness (vertigo) that make it difficult to focus my eyes! Thus the long breaks from blogging that I have taken when I have not been able to focus on the computer (outside of my standard working hours).
Back in March I had the hatchback from my car smack my head. Knocked me on my ass in more ways than one. Combine the vertigo with cataracts in my right eye and I have been having a ton of difficulty in using my computer, (including blogging and reading my friends blogs, doing art work and doing the jigsaws! Gosh I miss everyone...) I can't  read books,on my tablet or on paper and driving is difficult. I have been listening to audio books and walking Cinnamon, luckily, the house does not get too messy. My neighbor, Mary, has driven me around when I have been having bad bouts.
Otherwise, I am in terrific health and all the walking has helped me drop some weight. I do pretty well if I don't spend too much time trying to focus on the screens. An hour on the laptop takes about 3 to stop the spinning. I do hope I will be back blogging, but in the meantime I am focusing on things I can do (like yard work and soon I hope to finish painting the kitchen). I am hoping we get over the prolonged winter and cold weather we have been having this year. It's been too cold for painting or gardening.
So that is my life right now. I do miss everyone (especially reading about all you dogs and cats!).
Take care!

  12. Ugh and Ooh and Aaww and NOO, and a real asskicker fursure. And here we thought you were just painting and cooking and doing all that community stuff you are so famous for (always helping others, that's our Barb!) and well, it never entered the little minds here that You Girl could possibly be hurt/ill/injured in any way. Not OUR BARB! Super Woman. So, so sorry. Of course, paws are together (we'll make pickled asparagus just in your honor) and hope with every passing day you are Good, Better, Best. Best for all time. With lots and lots of love... Ann and June
