We got Mail!

Marv! Whatcha doing on the roof? Mom was reading email as she was walking Cinnamon down the street from Mary's and we got mail from Ms Ann and June! Lets go in and read it! Its been at least a month since we last posted...

Ann and June sent us a new header! And our furrends have been missing us! Purrhaps we should tell them what we have been up to!

FLOODING!

Our lovely little river (that is usually only 8 feet deep) has been over the flood level (18.5 feet) for 3 weeks. It has gone up to 21 feet and down to 18 twice and the people across the river have been evacuated 2 times! Big White - the mountain that stores the snow that makes our river has finally melted so it looks like the flood season is over this year. This is the longest we have had such high water!

HEAT!

Until this week, it has been furry HOT! Then the Monsoons started! It was pretty steamy for a couple of days,

This has NOT stopped us from doing our rodent control job. Kozmo brought Mom a juicy mouse, but Mom would not let him bring it in the house!

The crows really enjoyed the meal. I was NOT amused, I wanted to eat it!

We have not done anything really exciting. There has been much listening to Mom say HBO words as she cleans up the mud we have been tracking in and she has been busy trying to get the garden planted. Its still got stuff to go into it. And then there is mowing the lawn every 3 days (boy the grass grows fast). She says it will probably slow down at the same time that our human brother gets back! He has been working out of town. Kozmo really misses him.

And we really miss you guys! Thanks for the lovely new header Ann and June and we will try to post a little more often.

Keep being AWESOME Guys!

  5. Your new header is fabulous!

I'm glad you didn't have to be evacuated too! It's been a crazy start to spring, what with so many wildfires and of course the flooding. I hope things soon settle down for you all.

  9. That is a great header! Lovely to see you all again. I am glad you didn't have to evacuate with all that water in the river. We had severe flooding in the area 2 weeks ago, but we were okay.

  11. Wow, Marv and gang! That is an amazing header!! We have one too...also from Miss Ann and June. Aren't they great!?!

Your river sure looks angry, glad you didn't have to evacuate. And the humidity can be seen in that picture, Ugh.

Hope all the dizziness you were having has subsided so you can function better, Barb.

Woofs to Cinnie, and aroos to JoJo, Kozmo and Marv!

  18. It's wonderful to hear from you and i do hope your flooding is over for the year. You've been doing a great job with the rodent control and lawn mowing is a hard job so i understand why your Mom might not have much time to be online.

Please keep in touch when you can and remember you are always welcome to link up with Feline Friday over at my place when you get the chance.

    Stay Marvelous!
