Hi Guys! This week for Awww Monday we are presenting you with a SPARK!
I Marv am fascinated with our Christmas tree. I have not tried to climb the tree for a couple of years, but Mom puts it up a few days before she decorates so that I can check it out! I am looking forward to sleeping amongst the presents!
Do you cats (or dogs) try to climb the tree? Sleep underneath it? Or root around the ornaments? Enquiring minds want to know!
McGuffy’s who was hosting the Sparks is on hiatus, mes is going to keeps posting them anyway! She says “I truly do believe we are meant to be lights in this world. If we allow our light to shine, we can see where we are going. It is then that we can begin to truly see each other clearly. There is hope. Together, we can light up the entire world!”
Today is AWWWSome, we might even get some sunshine (though that means it will be colder). We are going to pawticipate in Awww Monday at Commedy Plus. We LOVE Sandee and we LOVE her Hops! Awww Mondays is one of our favoritest! Click her Button to me taken to AWWW Monday Central!
Good morning up there in Boundary Country. wow on a fully decorated tree way up there. ha ha.. beautiful header... Beau bothers nothing, and since our tree is 18 inches tall he can't get under it, also it sits on a counter top, and he can't get up there. that is our answer to your question today...
ReplyDeleteYou are good to leave the tree alone, Marv. Both my boys were tree climbers. I suppose climbing outdoor trees it was fair game. Flynn was clever and climbed up the inside and pop his head out near the top. Eric would launch himself at it causing death and destruction to the baubles!
ReplyDeleteMarv, you are putting Notions into my Noggin. I've never tried to climb our tree but now I'm wondering if it is the cat thing to do. However Lynn puts down an extra thick towel underneath the tree skirt on the table. So that it's extra comfy for me to lay on it when I look out the front window. So I guess I'm an under tree girl. You look extra handsome upside down in the Christmas ornaments with your spark today. Precious
ReplyDeleteOur cats used to climb the tree we have heard, but that was before any of us were born. We don't pay much attention to the tree. Sometimes we lay under it, and we run under it a lot, but that is about it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good idea to wait until you are bored with it before decorating.

ReplyDeleteMy tree was at great risk from my recent visitor who behaved like a cat, although canine! Thankfully he was also easily distracted by bigger and better (and stronger) stuffies! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
I've never tried to climb the Christmas tree, Marv. The ones we have are minis so if I did try, I'd knock them over! Love the spark!
ReplyDeleteI am very curious as to whether JUNE would climb a tree, or show any interest in one ~ but the question will remain unanswered. Out studio is way to small to have one, and we haven't even a small/spare table for a
ReplyDelete"tiny one" ... holiday decor is just on walls and windows ... (or photoshopped, ha-ha!)
Your mom treats you so very well, Marv. As it should be. You know I love you bunches. I know you do.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marv and a big hug to mom. ♥
Words to live by. And we like to sit under our tree. Tommy buries his favorite mousie toy under the tree skirt and eat the little shiny things on the skirt. Otherwise we have been leaving it alone mostly.
ReplyDeleteI love that spark. and picture. XO
ReplyDeleteGreat spark; happiness doesn't happen in a moment.
ReplyDeleteWe do everything you do to your tree but we try to eat it and get in trouble for it. It is not a "real" tree!
ReplyDeleteDear Marv, We didn't have a tree for years because Opie peed on the live one we used to have. Then he got older and stopped behaving badly. When we got a tree in 2019 it was a skinny fake tree with a red metal collar under it just in case... you know.. Opie. But this year Momma got rid of the metal collar and put down blankets. Even though the tree is skinny, we enjoy lying under it and gazing up at the lights. So beautiful! I wish we could have a tree all year round. Meowy Christmas! Love, Dori
ReplyDeleteWe love that spark. As for our tree...it's a 4' tall tree that is on a table, so it is too high for us to reach it. Our mom also has a wreath that has lights and ornaments on it. These two holiday decorations began when the last puppy was in this house as a way to keep her from bothering any of the delicate ornaments.
ReplyDeleteGreat Spark! And the header is terrific! Love the black kitties attitude! We have 3 small trees- no cats climb them- they just sleep under them! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteI liked your Spark! Kiki only climbed the tree 3 times before we put the aluminum foil down.
ReplyDeleteI love that quote! Super cute photo too. Mudpie never tries anything with the tree, thankfully.
ReplyDeleteIt's so true, we remember happiness looking back.
ReplyDeleteSome of the other cat bloggers i read have tried putting "tin foil" (that's what Grandma always called it) under the tree and it seems to deter the cats from going under and then climbing.
Very wise words
ReplyDeleteTrue. It's funny that I saw Paula's picture between the quote and commenting. That's the happy I remember.
ReplyDeleteWe love that spark, sweet pals. And knock on wood, we've never had a cat that tried to climb the tree!
ReplyDeleteAngels Simba and Toki climbed into the tree, and Simba broke one...Pipo and Minko were always messing with our (little unclimbable) trees, and they pulled them off the table more than once when we were either not home or were sleeping. Minko chewed through he light cord of one of our trees...at leas it was not turned on...he sure was a rascal!
ReplyDeleteI like that spark!
