We were catching up on reading our furrends posts on Thankful Thursday. Mom had to make the grocery run up to the big city yesterday. In the "old" days (before she moved to Vancouver), Mom hardly ever left our little valley except farm market day. Our human brother has a bunch of allergies and the food he can eat (like gluten free bread that also does NOT contain potato starch) is hard to come by except in the big stores in the big cities. Summer is tourist season...the Okanagan Valley is a tourist destination and with people finally being able to get out and about...well the traffic was awful--people are impatient and down right rude. (we won't talk about the litter!)
But enough of Mom's complaining! We are complaining about all the rain and mosquitoes! The rain gets our furs wet and the mosquitoes...well they bite and there are LOADS of them and they make our skins itch! So we have spent a lot of time in the house. The best thing about being in the house is the CATNIP! And CATNIP is the theme of today's Friendly Fill-Ins with the gorgeous Jo Jo!.

Jo Jo, I have fresh catnip too. I call it wacky weed because I really get whacked out everyday when I eat my fresh salad. All the neighbor cats come by and get fresh salad too, and I don't mind a whole lot except when they start to smush it down. Lynn has to keep a wire cage around it and they have to nibble what comes out the edges. I was so glad to see you today I'd miss seeing your picture. We girls got to stick together through wobble weed and everything. It's been raining here a little bit after taking a two-week break. I stay inside but Lynn gets the mosquito bites outside. Precious

The Hubby says I must use up all of the catnip that we've got before I can get anymore, so I hope the lucky winner will be over the moon (high as a kite?) with your Wobble Weed!

Good answers to the fill-ins! Wobble Weed sounds good to our cats! I recently read that catnip repels mosquitoes.
Our cousins live on Cape Cod and they say this time of the year it is very hard to get around for just the basics with allthe tourists. We hope when your Mom gets to the big city that she at least finds the shelves well-stocked. Here there are lots of bare shelves with little of certain products to choose from.
We would love to enter your giveaway, but we just don't think catnip would do anything for us. Now if only someone would come up with a similar version of "dognip":)
