Dear Precious (and Selfie Sunday)

MOM! There is an email here from our furrend Precious!!!

She is wondering if we are all OK and how Cinnamon is doing! Can you help us post so our furrends know we are all, all right?

Dear Furrends!

Mom has been very busy. The saga of the Elementary School has been ongoing. and then she has been figuring out how to set up for a large on-line and in-person Zoom Conference.

She was gone all last weekend. Now she is busy creating a "How To" guide with lots of pictures for setting up all the equipment so other people can do it too (which is why she has not been helping us and she will be right back at it as soon as she finishes helping me!)

We are all terrific!

The weather has been very cold this year. We had snow and frosts until almost the end of May. Mom started some plants in our little tiny green house and the squash and the cucumber plants got frosted! Our garden has not yet been all planted because it is a mud pit.

This last week we have had RAIN--RAIN and more RAIN! We are on flood watch!

Our normally placid little Kettle River has filled its banks and is (almost) over flowing! They don't think it will go over its banks here in our village though. Because of all the rain, us cats have not been outside much. Mom says she has to go shopping to get more litter (we have gone though one of those big plastic buckets in the last week).

Cinnamon wants you to know that she has recovered from her surgery. She is back to her energetic self and has been driving Mom nutso. Because it is too wet to play outside, she wants to play with her inside balls --ALL THE TIME! As a matter of fact, she is interrupting me right now! She has a lovely new scar on her belly and can't wait for the furs to grow back.

With all the  cool weather the mole and vole and mouse and shrew population has EXPLODED! When we can get outside, Kozmo and I (and out buddies Lucifer, Theodore and Merv) have been dispatching them with great gusto! Mr D and Mr F and Mr T and Ms M and Mom are all happy! Mom gets so excited when she sees all the bodies we line up on the deck for her admiration!

We hope that you are all well and we have our claws crossed that we can get Mom to spend more time helping us post!

Oh Yes! It is Sunday and we ALL know what day that is! SELFIE SUNDAY! (They have a burd doing the selfies this week!)

We are joining The Cat on My Head's Selfie Sunday! We love this hop, and we try to pawticipate every week! Please click their badge and be taken to their blog (Selfie Central)!

All that rain sounds quite horrid! On the other hand - over here, it's almost TOO hot!

  8. We see everyfurry one except Kozmo! We figure he was behind the camera helping mom. So delighted to see everyone
is well and mom is over worked. Thought she was retired! And Jo Jo and Precious have a few moments together again.
Even in the wet weather. It's been too wet here too, but not as bad as you guys. Corn is to be knee high by 4th of July,
but it will just be ankle high as they are still planting. Hope the zoomy thing goes right. See you very soon. Lynn and Precious

  21. Glad you all is OK (we was purrty sure you were) ... know that all the stuff you're doing is very imPAWtent and understand it is more imPAWtent that this blogging thing, but we do miss you all the same and hope you'll be back with us soon as the river of everything goes low again! Keep your "head above water", don't let your many "duties" drown you ... glad Cinny is good now, even if he has muddy paws. Chin scritchies to all the other furry ones (check your email for our "request" to you) ... bye now with a hug, Ann and June

  30. Tell your mom that after the rush is over, she has every right to a nervous breakdown if she wants it! (When i was young, a secretary i knew had a sign over her desk that read, "After the rush is over, I'm going to have a nervous breakdown. I worked hard for it, I deserve it, and no one is going to deprive me of it!")

  32. Glad you are all ok. TW hasn't been letting me visit with anybuddy lately. She doesn't have a good excuse like your mom, she's just too busy with her own health issues and watching the baseball games every day and night.

  33. Charlee: "Wow, that's a lot of rain all right. We can't even see the river under all that water!"
Chaplin: "Sounds like we need to take a road trip to help with the shrew and mole and vole and mouse population control ..."
Lulu: "Count me in! They're bite-sized! And that's good news about Cinnamon!"
Java Bean: "If we're doing a road trip to hunt shrews and stuff, I'll come along to help entertain Cinnamon!"
