Hi Guys! It's fall and it is busy season!
I sat on Mom's laptop and told her we were furry behind in posting. Mom has not been on the computer furry much--there has been gardening and getting it ready for bed, pickling, weeding, canning (pickles, jam and Nomato Sauce), planting of garlic, some more kitchen renos (now that stupid gnats have been killed by the frost) more weeding and yard clean up.
When Mom has been on the computer, she has been doing some computer art. Mom wants to get a calendar for the family together and she has been trying to teach herself some new techniques.
I told Mom we should show some of the experiments on the blog for Artsy Caturday!

DeleteAll the art is beautiful of both of you. Of yours Marv, both are lovely but I think the black background has the slight edge for me.
ReplyDeleteOooh, now I have to say we like both. In fact Mrs H says the two framed together would be excellent. Ever the compromiser is our Mrs H. Jojo's is very dynamic, and the colours so good for highlighting the features.

What a tough choice.....they are both quite spectacular....for different reasons. If I absolutely HAD to choose one....it would be the darker background - brings the artwork to the front whereas the light background surrounds the art somehow.

ReplyDeleteMarv, Precious has missed seeing your green eyes so much that I thought she would cry when she saw your photo today. She likes the black background the best because she thinks it makes your green eyes look just like hers. We've missed seeing you guys and really enjoy seeing Jo Jo artwork. She's a cutie. We're still having fairly good weather here and no Frost ours will be here in a couple of weeks no doubt. Set alarm yard clean-up work is not as critical yet. I'm going to hate raking leaves. You all have a great weekend and we're glad to see some sight of any of you.

That one of JoJo is stunning... as for your's Marv, I don't think there can be disagreement - the darker background shows you off to the best... though I have to say, if it was purely for the bloggy to decorate it, then the white might take favour. All about intent and purpose you see!!! But for pure aesthetics, yes, the black bg.
Now, thank your mum for doing this for you and don't fret, if she feels happy with the home works getting done, then she'll be happier blogging too!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
The black one Marv, it's stunning!!! Mommy has scrolled back over and over to look at it while she writes for me, and while she reads the comments. Looks like we ALL love both, but the dark one seems to edge the other out a tad.

ReplyDeleteMarv we sure did like seeing Jojo's Art it is so good looking. Of your two canvases we prefer the darker one. It does not look black but rather a dark gray to us and that gives a good contrast to your white. Wow hope we win Whee-Hoo
