Fill-Ins With MOM
We partied too much for Canada Day yesterday (in reality, Mom had to brave the tourists on the highway and make a grocery run). We were OUT of cat food. Actually, there was cat food left, but we won't eat it. So there were NO pet pictures for the Friendly Fill-ins. We voted Mom to answer them.
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins. Ellen of 15 and Meowing came up with the first two and her co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. This summer, I plan to finish painting the kitchen, the kitchen ceiling and the ancient kitchen cupboards, tile the backsplash, put in a new exhaust vent, and counters. And (if I can find the right size) I want to add some floor to ceiling cupboards (24"wide) in the dining room for small appliances that did not exist in 1955 when the kitchen was built. I'm about 1/3 done.
2. My favorite food at a bbq is Ribs!
3. You’ll find me in the kitchen or cracking bad jokes at a party.
4. Dark vs Milk chocolate is the silliest thing I’ve ever argued about. Reality is I LOVE chocolate in any shape or form or shade between dark and white.

Feline Friday with Marv
Canada Day (yesterday) I was having coffee sitting over looking the river, Marv was with me.
Look at the burdz Mom! |
Honk! Honk!* |
Marv was VERY interested in a family of Lesser Canada Geese swimming by. He chattered at them the whole time. When the goslings started honking back I ran into the house to get the camera, which is why the photo of the geese is so far away.
*What is that strange creature and why is it talking to us? Ignore it! Land animals are lesser beings...We are GEESE! We RULE!

DeleteMarv is so cute! I imagine his attitude looking the ducks. ❤️
ReplyDeleteGood luck with ongoing projects!
I love that photo of Marv looking out over the river.
ReplyDeleteI agree, chocolate is chocolate. Who cares what colour it is! I hope the kitchen project continues well.
Any chance that the furry animals can help with the painting? You know like waving their tails against the wall with a little paint on the tips. Matv really showed off the geese and I've never lived anywhere to see the Lesser Canada Goose. Thanks for the photo. And yes I vote chocolate for all occasions. Jo Jo how could your mom have let you run out of good cat food on a terrific holiday.

ReplyDeleteThat's quite the DIY list... all the best with that! D'ya think the geese are headed for the border - maybe a flight risk??? YAM xx
Whew, I need a nap after reading your #1 answer!
ReplyDeleteFANTASTIC photo of you Marv, nd so much beauty. Geese are MEAN so you be careful. me to me tooo on chocolate any color. i am impressed you are doing all of that work, i can't even paint a flat wall. I am well past painting stage in life and so is bob. unless we can train beau we are out of luck. good luck with getting all that done before winter
ReplyDeleteWe feel your pain; our kitchen was probably updated in the 1940's, and it's all knotty pine!
ReplyDeleteManny, however, thinks the old counters are purrfect for him to travel on.
Wow, that's quite a project!!! Those geese weren't very nice.
ReplyDeleteThe Florida Furkids
Mom did a great job with the fill-ins. I love chocolate too and I tend to go for the dark chocolate, but it's all good.
ReplyDeleteYou're so handsome, Marv and don't listen to those geese. They don't rule the world you do. Everyone knows that.
You had a very exciting Canada Day. You celebrate like we do. We like it that way.
Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marv and a big hug to mom. ♥
Really nice fill ins for this week Mom. We sure liked seeing you having such a good time watching those Geese Marv. Glad you all had a good Canada Day!
ReplyDeleteYour mom sure has a long list of DIY projects for the summer. How fun to be able to sit by the river and watch the geese swim by.
ReplyDeleteSending all kinds of good wishes as your work on your kitchen projects.
ReplyDeleteI agree about Chocolate!!
Hugs Cecilia
I love bbq ribs too but I prefer to eat them at home so I can wash my hands and face afterwards. What a beautiful and serene river scene you have there, Marv!
ReplyDeleteThose were really good answers! Hey Marv, don't go swimming pal!!!
ReplyDeleteYou reeally have a good life at home, Marv!
ReplyDeleteWe do! But sometimes Mom wishes civilization was not so far away.
DeleteGreat shot of Marv. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I like all chocolate too, but prefer milk chocolate. :) I hope you will show us some photos of your renovations. XO
ReplyDeleteThat sounds ambitious! I think TW's summer project is getting the money to go to radiation and staying alive. MOL!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be with Marv by the river. It looks peaceful. The pic of Marv by the river would make a great puzzle.
Your wish has been fulfilled! https://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=14a3fe1d75d9

We agree! We think Marv's chirping was Iranian swear words...
DeleteKatie will come too, to help. She wants Marv to teach her his native language. (She wants to see Kozmo).
ReplyDeleteGood answers and what a nice picture of Marv at the river, I love it! Glad you had a good Canada Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful relaxing photos. Bet Marv really enjoyed that. Kitchen Reno is a tough job. Good luck! Thanks for putting Sawyer on the sidebar. He’s still missing. We tried to comment yesterday, but got that Blogger broken link note. Hope it works today. ReplyDeleteGood luck with the kitchen remodeling.
ReplyDeleteWe have a LOT of Canada geese around here. Sometimes they block traffic while they waddle across the roads from one pond to another. People honk their horns at them, but they pay no attention.
I think those geese might be too big to tangle with.
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you have geese to watch! Our birds aren't that interesting down here.
ReplyDeleteAmbitious as ever, Barb!! My head is spinning!
ReplyDeleteI too love chocolate...any kind, but if given a choice, the darker the yummier...but no arguments from me with you, LOL!
100% with you on the chocolate. There really is no bad chocolate. Great picture of the handsome Marv.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have your work cut out for you this summer, but if you survived the tourists to get cat food, you can do most anything.
