We are having record heat! It is supposed to get to 120F (that's 48c) today.
It is to hot to sit and write horoscopes. Regular cat usually starts melting at 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). Due to climate change cats around the world are melting at an alarming rate. Do your part in fighting global warming! Do it for the kittens!
We found these pictures on the interwebs. Click on the picture to be taken to the page we got it from.

Those are some hot kitties and doggies! It's a regular heat wave everywhere! Hot in TX and getting hotter! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe the heat you guys are having! It has been mild here in comparison - the upper 80s, which is usual for this time of year. I hope this heat wave lifts soon!
ReplyDeletewow that is a heat... we have 14°c and rain... the world is currently a little unbalanced ...
ReplyDeleteDangerously hot...like middle east kind of hot...YIKES! Marv do]idn't you used to live in conditions like that??
ReplyDeleteHope you get to more normal temps out there. Phew, we can smell all those cooking beasties...but really, stay cool! I think Marv by the creek has a good idea.
Those poor melted kitties! The white cat hanging out of the basket gave me the biggest smile. Okay, second biggest. My biggest smile is always saved for Nellie.
ReplyDeleteI hope the heat soon drops. That is ridiculously hot. We are only getting half of that temperature although a heatwave is forecast around July 5th.

ReplyDeleteYeeech. There were a few summers like that in OZ - but that's kind regular there (not that it makes it much easier to bear) - if you are not used to it, surely must feel like you've been put in a toaster! Hang in there effurrybuddy. Don't fret about horos - the week will be what the week will be. Hugs wags whiskeries YAM-aunty xxx
The pictures are very entertaining but we can't imagine 120 degrees! It was 100 here yesterday and the ac was having a VERY hard time keeping up. Stay safe and as cool as you can!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! What great "melting cats and dogs" photos....yep - it's hot enough for us to melt away for sure!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Here I am complaining about 90° Fahrenheit. And you guys are actually at boiling temperatures. That's not good for anybody, humans or furry friends. Get everybody a big ice bag and put in the bed and lay on it for a while. And Marv you do look like one cool cat oh, so be sure to stay cool. Tell your mom not to get overheated outside.
ReplyDeleteWe have heard about the heat out west. Thankfully it has cooled here and we have been having rain. Stay cool somehow. Love the photos you found! Hopefully the heatwave will break soon.
ReplyDeleteThat is terrible. What an awful temperature to endure.
ReplyDeleteWe are great "fans" of all of you, but that doesn't help much, does it.
ReplyDeleteSuch silly-cute photos you found, but seriously, hoping & praying it ends soon, be safe friends.
Very scary!
ReplyDeleteC'mon, slip stream....MOVE!
I can't even imagine. I was complaining over the weekend when it hit 90! Thank goodness for air conditioning!
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is super HOT!!! We hope you have good A/C!

That heat Dome picture is absolutely terrifying to think about your having that high of a temperature I have never been past 100 and do not want to feel it. I've been in feels like of 109 or 110 but no temperature that high. All the cats and dogs look like they did indeed melt and I hope you don't look like that by the time that do moves praying now that the Dome will move on and leave you alone
ReplyDeleteIt's been pretty hot here too but not as hot as where you are. We're very thankful for our air conditioner.
ReplyDeleteIt' hot here every summer. I live in a desert. It's unusual for you to be that hot though. Poor kitties, but Marv is a very cool cat.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
Have a fabulous Happy Tuesday. Try to stay cool. Scritches all around, a smooch to Marv and a hug to mom. ♥
Oh Barb and family I'm soo sorry to read about this horrible heat. I cannot even imagine 120.
ReplyDeleteDo you have central air conditioning? I think I have read the Pacific NW and your part of Canada rarely have it.
Cool thoughts
Cecilia
We've had some epic heat here in WNY too! Thank goodness for AC!
ReplyDeleteIt gets to about 100* here in the summer, but it has never been 120*. Hope the heat dome moves on soon and normal shows up again.
ReplyDeleteThat is way too hot anywhere but especially in your neck of the woods!
