Firday April 30, 2021 is TABBY DAY and this TABBY caught a quail!
Our quail population has growing exponentially and they are pests! We have a million of them in our yard and Mom swears that they have eaten half the seeds that she planted in the garden. I thought I would guard the remaining seeds! After all Mom works so hard to make the right green stuff grow! I want to make sure she is happy!
I asked if we could make it into art for Artsy Caturday!
First we did me as a sketch!
Then me as a Watercolour!
I think I look terrific as a Watercolor!
120Marv Watercolor
It makes a really tough puzzle!
We are adding ME to Athena and Marie's Caturday Art! We LOVE their Art and ATHENA is a most beautiful TABBY TOO. Please click on their button to be taken to their blog and see this week's exquisite art!
You're doing an awesome job!
ReplyDeleteWell done Marv! We get some partridges here also but mostly pheasants. I call them Tick Tocks because they run along the top of our hedge saying tick tock, tick tock.
ReplyDeleteYour art is lovely, and thanks for the puzzles.
Well done, Marv, and we love your artwork!

ReplyDeleteI like both the artifications of you and your handiwork, Marv... I guess those quail are nearly as bad as having rabbits about? I know that many restaurants serve quail and quail eggs for lots and lots of exchange values - pawhaps mum could ask if any near you want a supplier??? Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
Send me some of those quail as i's got none any more. Some blizzard in 1978 killed all of mine. They tell me even my great great great grandma wasn't thought of then, so I don't know how much of this is true but I'd eat one if I could. Think on that Marv and and keep your eyes open for those little chickies. Precious
ReplyDeleteMarv, mom misses the quail. She had a gazillion in Florida. She hasn't seen nor heard one here in TN. since she moved here aeons ago.
ReplyDeleteSo Marv - inquiring minds want to know - was that quail as tasty as some humans seem to think it is??????
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Marv, you look MARVelous in the garden and even more MARVelous in the art.. you guard those seed. I did not know this about quail. I did know crows made daddy foam at the mouth in his garden
ReplyDeleteGood job of being the guard, Marv!
ReplyDeleteCool art, and I'm going to puzzle right now...thanks!
Your hunter art looks fabulous Marv!
ReplyDeleteMarv those are some cheeky quail to gather in your yard...with you on sentry duty.
ReplyDeleteLove your art
Hugs Cecilia
may we suggest a fine white whine butter sauce?
ReplyDeleteYou look great in all those versions of your picture, Marv.
ReplyDeleteMarv, what nice art! You are so good at guarding the seeds and you look terrific!
ReplyDeleteSo, did you catch any of those quail? I hear they taste yummy!
ReplyDeleteGreat art!
ReplyDeleteYou look terrific Marv regardless of the medium used.
ReplyDeleteThat was sweet of you to catch one to help your mom. I love your art and thank you for 2 puzzles. XO
ReplyDeleteThe watercolor is amazing but all your art is. Did you catch one?? I like quail cat food.
ReplyDeleteGosh Marv - we are sorry the quail are being pests. Here in NE Ohio the quail were all frozen out by the terrible winters of the late '70's. Could you send some down here ?
ReplyDeleteSuch a handsome guard cat!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like that garden needs guarding, Marv! My human wishes she could have a vegetable garden, but she is terrible at growing plants.
ReplyDeleteMay the rest take warning and leave your garden alone!
ReplyDeleteWow, Marv! We are impressed! You caught a quail???
ReplyDeleteWe like you both as a sketch and a watercolor Marv, as you have that great smile...sort of the cat who swallowed the canary look, which we guess is the same as the cat who killed the quail look. Did your mom cook him up for your dinner? We love the new header with angel Nellie down in the corner. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet
ReplyDeleteI love that you helped your mom again, Marv, you are a fantastic hunter and painter. We like the watercolour most😻Extra double Pawkisses🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteOh, wow, a quail??! We used to see a lot of bobwhites and pheasants here, but I don't recall seeing quail. And I had no idea that they were pesky birds in the gardens of peeps! Hmmm, maybe we don't want to see any here, then...LOL!
ReplyDeleteThe watercolor is cool, and I bet the puzzle is difficult. I'm too busy playing with kittens to try it. :)
