Happy New Year!

 Happy New Year!

We had the most fabulishous New Years Eve...After 2 days of constant snow (about 8 inches or 20 cm) we had SUN! As it does not often get really cold, here, with the sun it actually above freezing. The river froze right after Christmas because it stayed below freezing for a few days.  We can hear the ice cracking! If the sun stays out, the river will open up again in the next couple of days.

Mom and Alex has to shovel first thing in the morning or it is like shovelling Dairy Queen Ice Cream and is really heavy!

Because we got so much snow, Alex shovels paths for us cats!

Now for the glamor sun shots!

Jo Jo in the cat tree in the living room bay window. She was watching the birds eat berries off the Mountain Ash trees.

Here is Marv sitting on the back deck. He is watching the cat that lives across the river.

Cinnamon is laying in the snow...waiting for someone to throw her ball!

And Me, Kozmo, telling Mom my answers to the Friendly Fill-ins for New Years!

1. My focus word for 2021 is Patience, even though things are better, it will take a while for the world to get back to normal.
2. I didn’t get to talk on the Blog much this year, but I hope to in 2021.
3. The year 2020 taught me Marv is really fast! Especially when he's mad at me!
4. Learn self defence is one of my biggest goals for 2021. I am a gentle giant and Jo Jo, Marv and Cinnamon push me around.

    We sure hope 2021 will be 1000% better than 2021, but like you said, we'll need a ton of patience while it tries to get there...eventually...

    It's nice to see pictures of all of you, but dad says that first photo with the sun and the snow is magnificent. What can I say, he's easily entertained. He says he used to shovel paths like that eons ago when he had indoor/outdoor cats. He also says he sure doesn't miss getting snow like that. Happy New Year!

    Happy New Year to all of you!
    It is below freezing here. Last night we went out to the memorial garden to wish Eric and Flynn Happy New Year which we do every year. There was a fine dusting of snow on top of the thick frost and it was -8C. It is 11.15am now and still -3C. The temperatures don't often get that low here. Even our LPG has frozen, hopefully just the regulator or New Year's dinner will be cooked in the microwave!

    I shovel trails for the outside cats too!
    And sweep/shovel off the deck, so there is at least one place where their paws aren't touching ice and snow.
