The Penguins take on DT!

It is understood the sub-Antarctic islands were included among the countries affected by Trump's tariffs because they are Australian territory, sitting about 6000km from the mainland.

The Penguins are dipping a toe in global trade as they respond to Donald Trump's tariff on their remote Aussie island by 'exporting' pebbles.  'We figured if we're getting taxed, we might as well start exporting,' a feathered spokesperson is quoted as saying on the website.
The product hitting the company's shelves: pebbles. Customers can buy either a $10 digital one or a physical one for a donation of between $50 and $200 (Australian)

$50A is $44.15C and $31.87US

$200A is $176.59CUS and $127.00US

All of the Heard Island Pebbles' proceeds will be donated to WWF Australia to help protect the penguins and support broader conservation efforts in the region. So far, it has raised over $4500.
We went to their Site, and boy, it was FUN!

You can buy a Digital or a real Pebble!

The Penguins are having a Protest March - April 16th!

 We’re not joking.

On Wednesday, April 16th, Penguins International, a non-profit organization committed to preserving and protecting penguins to protect the planet, is turning the birds’ annual migratory trek from the ocean to their breeding grounds into a Protest March of the Penguins, which will be streamed on YouTube Live. Through this stream, Penguins International hopes to generate support and donations. Today, nine of the 18 species of penguins that exist are either listed as Vulnerable or Endangered of becoming extinct. Wild penguins, like those that inhabit the Heard and McDonald Islands, face threats that are far more real than the tariffs that were recently imposed. We’re grateful to be able to use the unexpected attention on the Antarctic penguins to shine a light on the species as a whole, and to turn this news story into an opportunity to protect them for the greater good of the planet. Tune in to the march on Wednesday, April 16th at 5 PM EST at    / penguinsinternational  , share, and donate to Penguins International to help save the penguins. Penguins International hopes to follow up the digital march with a real protest march on Friday, April 25th, World Penguin Day. Follow @penguins_international on social media for updates.
