Thie main event in March is Poison Prevention Month
Pet Poison Prevention Month is a crucial time to raise awareness about common household, food, and garden hazards that can endanger pets. Key threats include toxic plants (lilies, sago palms), human medication, cleaning products, and foods like chocolate, grapes, and xylitol. Prevention involves securing dangerous items, keeping pets away from cleaning areas, and knowing the signs of poisoning. And March 1-7 is Professional Pet Sitter Day!
Pet Sitters
Professional Pet Sitter Week is celebrated annually during the first full week of March (March 1–7, 2026). THis week we honor professional pet-care providers, promote the benefits of in-home pet care, and encourage the profession. Established by Pet Sitters International in 1995, it highlights the essential, high-quality care, companionship, and safety professional sitters provide for pets.
