Vet visits are absolutely essential for all cats, and this national day reminds us to make those important annual appointments. With regular check-ups, you help keep your cat healthy by catching signs of illnesses early and keeping them updated on their vaccinations. Vet visits can be stressful, but they’re essential for your cat’s overall health.
Jo Jo goes to the vet for a check-up about every 12-18 months. She is very healthy and up to date with her shots. She does not like the trip but she is ALWAYS a good cat!
Mr Kozmo has a Thyroid problem. Because of this, he goes to the vet every 6 months for blood tests and he gets all his other shots when they come due. Some are once a year and some are once every 3 years. Kozmo does NOT like the trip to the vet. He often sings the songs of our people not only the whole 45 minute trip to the big city, but the trip home too! Funny though, once he is at the vets, he purrs... LOUD! The staff all love him to bits and he loves all the treats and the attentions (and our vet! He loves her to bits).
I, Marvelous don't go to the vet. I BITE! I Claw!! I SCREAM!!! When Mom gets out a cat carrier, I disappear! Our vet calls and stops by when she comes out to help the local farm animals. I am a pretty friendly guy and I know how to use my Persian charm! I do come out and visit and rub and purr and be the sweetest cat EVER! And before I know it, the needles go in, the bumps are checked and the blood gets taken!
Do you like your Vet?

No cat in their right mind would enjoy a vet visit, but it is an important thing to have those check ups. You are privileged to get your vet to visit you, Marv.

ReplyDeleteI have to say my angels were both very good about going to the vet - but then he was only at the end of the street and he was the loveliest man - I'm sure they both thought they were just visiting friends!!! Hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx
I've only ever seen my vet for young puppy stuffs so I don't know him that well yet. Mom loves my vet so I guess he's okay and he is very nice to me.
ReplyDeleteI am not a cat, but I do love my vet and all the people there and am the poster dog of vets. My mama gets car sick in the back seat, maybe the song of his people is because he feels nauesa when riding. Can he see out the window? mama says that helps her, from the front seat. Love Beau the best vet visitor in Bradenton
ReplyDeleteDear Dr. Marv, I absolutely sing the song of our people all the way to and from the Dr. Feelbad office! He pokes and prods and sticks and calls me bad names, like obese. But I'm slimmin' down a bit so we will see what he says in Oct. Oh October, it'll be here too soon fur me and Lynn. Jo Jo, you get wet on that tube in the river!!!! Precious
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "When I have to go to the vet, believe you me, I sing the song of our people all the way there and all the way back."
ReplyDeleteChaplin: "So do I."
Oona: "The vet is not that bad. All of them fawn over Oona and give her attention and tell her what a good kitty she is. Possibly because she is a ninja and not a coward in a tuxedo like certain other cats Oona could mention."
Marv, do not tell my mum dat izza internashunal take me to dee vet day!!!!
ReplyDeleteWe've read that being a veterinarian or vet tech is very difficult emotionally, and we admire those who chose this line of work.
ReplyDeleteCats are very good at masking health problems, so it's really impawtant that we get them to the vet for check-ups.
Next on our list is still feral Henry.
I'm not a big fan of going to the vet but the past few years we've had a vet come to our home and I love her and the visits.
ReplyDeleteOur vet says that it much more relaxing than in the office. She finds that the animals are less stressed too! Kepp being AWESOME Marvelous marv
DeleteWe people love our vet, the cats, not so much. They do mostly behave, though, once they are there. I'm glad your vet makes house calls.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had a vet that could come to the house for my 3 ferals. XO
ReplyDeleteAll our angels would sing very loudly, on the way to our vet (about 15 minutes), imagine that!
ReplyDeleteMom wishes it were only 15 minutes! Our vet is a 50 minute drive!
DeleteAva and Target are both not fans of going to the vet, but are very good kitties when they are there. Everybody there loves them.
ReplyDeleteWe do not like going to the v-e-t or anywhere else that involves Cat Carriers, for that matter.
