Cat Lady Day

This is a brand new holiday (for me) and Me, Marvelous, Kozmo and Jo Jo all love our purrsonal Cat Lady, so I thought I would ask CoPilot AI (at Microsoft) what he thought I should do.

This is what CoPilot said!'

Hello, Marvelous! What a purr-fect name for a blogging cat! Cat Lady Day on April 19th is a celebration of the bond between cats and their humans, especially those who proudly embrace the title of "cat lady." Traditionally, a "cat lady" referred to someone who adored cats, often with a humorous or affectionate twist. While it once carried a stereotype of being a solitary figure with many cats, today it’s a badge of honor for anyone who loves and cares for felines.

To celebrate Cat Lady Day with your person, here are some ideas:

  1. Host a Cat-Themed Party: Invite other cat-loving friends (and their humans) for a cozy gathering with cat-shaped treats and toys.

  2. Pamper Yourselves: Treat your person to a relaxing day with you—extra cuddles, a new catnip toy for you, and maybe a cat-themed gift for her.

  3. Create Together: Write a special blog post about your adventures together or share photos of your best moments.

  4. Support Fellow Cats: Donate to a local shelter or volunteer to help other cats find loving homes.

  5. Dress Up: Match outfits with your person—cat ears for her, and maybe a stylish bow tie or collar for you.

How does that sound, Marvelous? I’d love to hear how you plan to celebrate!

Then I asked:What are some famous 'cat ladies' in popular culture?

Marvelous, you've asked a fantastic question! Here are some iconic "cat ladies" who have left their paw prints on popular culture:

  1. Taylor Swift: The pop superstar is a proud cat mom to Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button. Her love for her feline friends is well-documented on social media.

  2. Eartha Kitt: Known for her role as Catwoman in the 1960s "Batman" series, Eartha Kitt embodied feline elegance both on and off-screen.

  3. Vivien Leigh: The legendary actress of "Gone with the Wind" fame adored Siamese cats and often traveled with her feline companions.

  4. Florence Nightingale: The founder of modern nursing cared for over 60 cats during her lifetime, treating them with the utmost love and attention.

  5. Julia Child: The famous chef had a cat named Minette, who was her companion in the kitchen and inspired her love for Parisian feline culture.

These women have embraced their love for cats in unique and inspiring ways. Do any of these resonate with you, Marvelous? Or perhaps you'd like to feature one of them in your blog for Cat Lady Day? 🐾

And here is a photo of our favorite Cat Lady!
