Tomorrow?

We tend to think of Valentine's Day, love and friendship when
February arrives.  This year, on Wednesday we celebrate in our blog postings,
through images and words ~ love, friendship, kindness, caring.

Our world is in need of more

We love our buddy Midway Mike. He is actually a Rocky Mountain Marmot, but every February, he takes on Ground Hog duties! If Midway Mike sees his shadow tomorrow, (meaning that if you believe in a groundhog’s ability to predict the weather) we’re in for six more weeks of winter.

Come back Friday to see what happens!!!

We are pawticipating in Wordless Wednesday at Comedy Plus! I LOVE Sandee's Hops! She always has the bestest photos for Wordless Wednesday. Please click on her WW button to be magically taken to Wordless Wednesday Central (Comedy Plus).

  3. But probably people think that it is a door in front of their happiness. But the 'good news' is that the door is only in their mind... Thank you a lot for these thoughts and for the top image. Now I know!
Happy WW and an amazing journey during february! 😘❤️

  4. Marv, Precious and I love your new February header. So colorful. Cheers up a little bit during one of the longest darkest shortest months of the year. We actually have Buckeye Chuck who normally predicts our Ohio spring. Unfortunately the nasty people at PETA are trying to stop him from predicting the weather. Now I know they do good work but there are some things that they need to just get their hands off of. And you have way too much snow and ours is melted but it is bitterly bitterly cold.

    1. Hi Precious (and Peep)! We woke up to 4 inches of snow - along with COLD this morning. THe weather guessers missed this totally! We are NOT amused, but we are looking forward to seeing Mike tomorrow. Mike is not a celebrity, hes just waking up and doing this because we bugged and bugged him until he said yes. Purrs Marv

  10. I love the quote. So very true and I've news for everyone. There is six more weeks of winter. Always is, but it's fun to hope for an early spring.

    1. Actually he is named after a comedy character Mike From Canmore who appeared on the Royal Canadian Air Farce TV show 1993-2008 (Our Peep has a twisted sense of humor...)

  12. Oh Marvelous MARV!!! I love the quote

Time flies, but you are the pilot.

  13. The only good thing about Groundhog Day is the film "Groundhog Day"!

  14. Midway Mike will make as good a weather prognosticator as any of the other animals called upon to do the duty (in some parts of the world it's badgers or hedgehogs). If he sees his shadow, there's a lull in winter and it will come roaring back for more. If he doesn't because it's a wet, gray day, winter is "spending itself out" and you will have nice spring weather sooner.

  15. I sure hope Midway Mike doesn’t see his shadow! ~Ernie

  16. That is a great quote, Marv. Hey, we were thinking ... what if you held an umbrella over Midway Mike's hole, so that when he comes out, he doesn't see HIS shadow (since it will be in the shadow of the umbrella)? Would that count? MOL
