We will return to regular programming soon

I'm miffed there is no Caturday Art.

Mom and Cinnamon were headed to the next town to get groceries and drop off the donation from Cinnamon's birthday this morning (Friday), and hit a deer. Mom and Cinnamon were unhurt but the car is a write off. Mom has to go to the City to get a rental until we can buy a new car. We will try to catch up with our comments and posts as soon as we can.

  1. Yikes! Those &%&%%$))(*&&#@% deer, phooey.
Glad you and Cinnie were not hurt though. It sucks that you have to get a new car. Hope you can find one soon.

When I drive home from work, after 10pm, I often see deer dancing all over the roads, they are so dumb. Today in broad daylight I saw about a dozen of them near the road...and that road is a main drag into the town. Good thing nothing spooked them.

Take care and we are thinking of you!

  2. Oh, that is a bummer! My human's ex hit a deer with a rental car a few years ago, and that pretty much total the rental car too. I'm glad neither she nor Cinnamon were hurt - that's the important part.

  3. Oh no! But the important thing is that your mom and Cinnie are okay. Cars can be replaced, lives can't.

  4. That's awful and we're happy to hear that your mom and Cinnamon weren't hurt, Marv.

Crikey, if the car's a write-off I guess the deer must have been too? So glad you two weren't hurt, but oh my, what a shock - and shock has its after effects so do be very very careful. Sending POTP for that and etherish blue light for you to surround yourselves with for pawteckshun... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

    1. Thank you! Mom just about managed to miss the deer, but it stopped! If it had kept running, both the deer and Mom's car would be OK. But now they have both gone OTB (if cars go there).

    1. Hi Guys, Mom says she was not scared. Everything happened too fast. Cinnamon thought it was fun to ride in someone else's truck back home and she is a little miffed that she did not get to deliver her birthday donations. And she is not going to be allowed to in the rental.

  21. So sorry to hear this, but so glad that you and Cinnamon are okay! I love deer but they are really a hazard to drivers because they make such sudden and fast dashes into roads.

    1. Mom has driven that road a zillion times (she used to drive it twice and sometimes more a day when she had a business in the nearest town) and has NEVER seen a deer come up on that part of the road. Neither had anyone who stopped. We are sad that the deer and Mom's car did not survive but we are thankful that Mom and Cinnamon are OK.

  30. So glad Mom & Cinnamon are ok ! Wise choice about no pets in the rental. Our Mom had a rental a few years ago when a tree fell on our car, and she had to take some of us to vet appointments so we had to be on blankets and tarps (in our carriers of course) Purrs !
