Feline Friday with Marv!

We are pawticipating in Purple Day for Epilepsy

Purple Day is an international grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. On March 26th annually, people in countries around the world are invited to wear purple and host events in support of epilepsy awareness. Last year, people in more than 85 countries on all continents participated in Purple Day!

Our Uncle has epilepsy. He is one of approximately 260,000 Canadians have epilepsy according to an epilepsy prevalence estimate. Today, it is highly treatable and our uncle has lived a full and wonderful life.

  6. My father had epilepsy. Thankfully he lived a full life with a full-time job. Back then and so he had to keep it hid. People were not able to understand the problem. Thank you for coming forward with this today Marv. You look handsome in purple.

Ooh dear, I kinda dropped the ball and didn't get a post up for Purple Day, but it was a mysterious onset of epilepsy that finally took my dad into hospital and his final days, I surely do support the message!!! There is so much we have to learn about how our bodies (and our pets) work... hugs and whiskeries and waggles, YAM-aunty xxx

  19. You look marvelous in that purple, Marv!

Its still so sad that epilepsy is still such a hidden problem, seems that peeps are still uneducated enough about this scourge.
May a proper cure be found to end it.
