Yes! It is Ukrainian Christmas!
Last night we had a (sort of) traditional dinner.
Mom was going to make Borscht, but she could not get any fresh beets, and She thought about making Holopchi (Ukrainian Cabbage Rolls), but Alex is allergic to tomatoes. So we had Kielbasa (Ukrainian Sausage) and Pierogis fried with with onions and topped with Sour Cream. Tomorrow night we will have baked ham (with all the trimmings) and we will use the Ukrainian plates and bowls (our set is the same as the picture). And yes, us cats and Cinnamon will get ham on the special dishes!
AND WE GET BIRTHDAY CAKE!
Tomorrow is Alex (our human brother)'s Birthday!
We are thankful for Alex. He helps Mom take care of us, he feeds us, he empties our litter boxes, he plays with us and he takes almost all of the good pictures you see of us (sorry Mom).
We are also thankful for you my furrends! And for The Cat Blogosphere for ALL they do, Brian and his Dad who sponsor Thankful Thursday and Sandee at Comedy Plus for her linkies (Awww Monday, Happy Tuesday, Wordless Wednesday, Feline Friday) and Athena and Marie who do Caturday Art and 15 and Meowing and Four Legged Furrballs for the Friendly Fill-Ins and One Spoiled Cat (Poetic Thursday and Where in the World) And Bionic Basil and Dash Kitten for Pet Parade, MudPie's Pet Photo Fails, LLB Gang for Nature Friday, And The Cat on My Head for Sunday Selfies!
And we can't wait to visit YOU and say Hi!
