March! Wowzers! It is ALMOST SPRING!!!

March this year is MARCHING in with a Spring! We don't have to wait for the vernal equinox! This Month has LOADS of cool  things happening!

Now I want to let you know what to look forward to this month! As always, you can download the badges that will be on the Catblogosphere, here sized smaller (300x300).

Thie main event in March is Poison Prevention Month

Pet Poison Prevention Month is a crucial time to raise awareness about common household, food, and garden hazards that can endanger pets. Key threats include toxic plants (lilies, sago palms), human medication, cleaning products, and foods like chocolate, grapes, and xylitol. Prevention involves securing dangerous items, keeping pets away from cleaning areas, and knowing the signs of poisoning.

And March 1-7 is Professional Pet Sitter Day!

Pet Sitters

Professional Pet Sitter Week is celebrated annually during the first full week of March (March 1–7, 2026). THis week we honor professional pet-care providers, promote the benefits of in-home pet care, and encourage the profession. Established by Pet Sitters International in 1995, it highlights the essential, high-quality care, companionship, and safety professional sitters provide for pets.

  2. its hard for me to think, I was just shocked to find out next week end is spring forward time change on another blog and it blew my mind. Pet Poison is a big thing for us and Beau because he has Cushing's and eats any and all things he finds. Florida is Plant Poison Hell for pets. I will have to start policing what is falling in the yard . there are so many harmful things that put out berries and buds and poison. thanks for the reminder

  14. Lulu: "Mama and Dada always make sure to keep all that poisonous stuff away from us! For instance Dada's toothpaste has lots of xylitol in it, but it's always at the back of the medicine cabinet where it can't fall out and land on the floor. Now if they could just stop Charlee from trying to eat plastic ..."
Charlee: "Don't knock it 'til you try it!"
