Santa and Marv and the Moose!
When Marv and I were talking about Marv's December Header (on November 30th...) Marv asked if it could have a MOOSE in it! Well, Moose do wander through our neck of the woods in BC.
I can just picture Marv, tail flicking with confidence, belting out a “Moose on the Highway Blues” to a big antlered audience under the stars 🌌🦌🐾.
It’s a perfect image for Marv as a troubadour, serenading a moose with trail tips and cautionary verses about late-night road crossings!

Nd how would it begin....
I can see Marv finding Santa...stuck...
On a frosty night by the highway’s glow,
Santa cried, “Oh dear, where did Dasher go?”
His sleigh was stalled, the stars hung loose,
Till Marv trotted up and called to a moose:
“Friend of the forest, strong and bright,
Would you guide Santa’s sleigh tonight?
The world needs cheer, the children wait—
Come lend your antlers, it’s not too late!”
The moose gave a nod, with a jolly snort,
And off they flew from the snowy port.
Marv sang a tune as the sleigh took flight,
“Moose save Christmas on this winter night!”
Thus this is how we got the photos!

The moose is perfect to fill in as a reindeer on Christmas Eve! Love the photos, Marv!
ReplyDeletelove it, love it, love it PLUS Santa only needs one Moose, not 8 Reindeer, maybe you can ride on the Moose, Marv.. tell Mom this is a PHUN POST... we have no moose here, but maybe a black bear? a Stork? a Flamingo? lets got with 12 Flamingos. ho ho ho
ReplyDeleteThat was fun and I love it, and the pictures too!
ReplyDelete"Moose on the highway
ReplyDeleteIn the dark of the night
Caught in your headlights
Tremblin' with fright
Lord liftin' Jesus that's some awful sight
Moose on the highway at night"
We can just imagine Marv meeting Moose!!!
Purrs,
The Chans
Just think Marv, it only takes one Moose to do the job of 8 tiny reindeer! That's like buying and electric automobile, mol. I might be brave enough to walk up to a deer, but to be on Santa's lap and have a moose, oh no me oh my. I'd be under the sled and pulling down Santa's lap robe fur cover! Happy Hoppy Christmas Spirit to all of you.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great idea to have the moose pull Santa's sleigh, Marv.
ReplyDeleteOona: "Marv! Are you using the Force on the moose? Oona approves!"
