Wednesday - In Purrsuit of Flavours!

We did not know, but when Kozmo took Katie home on Awww Monday, they took a side trip to visit Austin in Wales...I found this photo when I went to download the cooking pictures!

 I wonder what they were doing?

Ms Jean - The Canadian Cats (Shoko and Kali)'s Mom,  is not well, so the Weims, Da Phenny and Nellie are hosting by themselves.

We Made Creamed Chicken on Toast

This is a really quick and easy comfort food dinner. Mom usually makes it with leftover rotisserie chicken and turkey (at Christmas and Thanksgiving). It is a basic cream sauce with Chicken added. Mom likes it with peas, us cats (and Cinnamon) like without.

Make enough cream sauce for the amount of chicken or turkey you have. A rotisserie chicken works great. The recipe below is for a medium cream sauce, like thick cream. Add more flour if you want it thicker.

For each cup of sauce…

• 2 tablespoons butter
• 2 tablespoons flour
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/8 teaspoon pepper
• 1 cup milk

Melt butter in saucepan over low heat, if you have time and like onions, you can fry some diced onions in the butter. When bubbly (and if you added onions, cook until they are translucent). Then blend in flour, salt and pepper. 

Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly. Remove from heat, stir in milk. Then return to heat and heat to boiling, stirring constantly. 

If you want peas, add a quarter cup of frozen peas to a little bit of water and zap for 1 minute (or until steaming. Boil for 1 minute.

Turn off heat, add the drained peas and the chicken, stir, cover and let the boiling sauce heat the chicken. 

Spoon over toast and (if desired) sprinkle with paprika, lemon pepper or salt and pepper.

 Awww-some Comedy Duo With Kozmo and Katie!

 

Kozmo has been going crazy! He can't wait for Katie Isabella to get here. He was really worried that she would not make it as she was not feeling well last week. 

When she arrived, they rubbed whiskers and bonked heads...Sheesh! 

Then Kozmo mad a really lame joke...

Then they got into BAT Jokes!

 

Good thing our buddy Irving was around (and not sleeping).

 

 

Then they took a break and we all went down to the river.

 

Then they did ONE last joke...

 

 

After we ate the delicious cat food stew, Katie had to leave,  the house seems empty without her. 

We had the bestest time! Katie is so funny and we love having her visit. Too bad that her Mommy and Donkey would miss her or we would gets her to stay longer.

Selfie Sunday With Jo Jo

Kozmo has been having us clean and tidy and has been driving us batty! HIS KATIE is coming for Awww Monday! Jo Jo and I have been hiding in the bedroom.

I took her selfie!

She said I smelled funny and was impinging on her space and went down to the dog bed in front of the window

 She would not look at the camera, but I took a picture of her anyway! I think she looks pensive.

Rainbow Bridge Memorial Day

 What!?! Yous wants mes, Nellie Bellie to bes the hostess for Rainbow Bridge Memorial day? 

Marv, yous is the sweetest little man cat. Mes glad that mes picked yous out for Mommy. Mes heard that yous broke a TV 2 nights ago!?! Wow! Mes tried to knocks that TV over in the Apartment in the sky and it was too heavy. Yous is a purrfect Cat From Hell.

Furrst mes gotted the Alumni together for a family pawtrait! Marv, yous has meeted mes and Kozmo, and Jo Jo and Cinnamon...but there were animals that shared Mommy's life before.Here is a picture of all Mommy's  before furrys who is over the bridge. Wes all gotted together before mes came for the visit.

 Yes Marv, they ALL lived with Mommy. Grey Cat was the furrst. He was there when she came home as a baby kitten. Mommy's Mom told us, when Mom was little, she always knew where Mommy was as Grey Cat was there too!

 

 

 Just before me came, Kali (of the Canadian Cats) stopped by. She asked us for purrayers for her Mom. She is not well and I said wes was already purraying for her. Mes LOVES their Mom! She came and visited mes in the apartment in the sky!

Mes and my best Bun - Speedy has been spending lots of time together since he came Over the Bridge. He found a wonderful grrl bunny named Titch for his Mum! Marv, yous and her should have some great adventures, mes and Speedy will chaperone!

 

Mes has also been spending time with Eric and Flynn! We is purraying for their Mum too!

And Mes and Sammy Kimmel went to a Bacon Harvest on my Motorcycle.

Wes wants to reminds yous that today not only Caturday, it is BACON DAY with his brother Teddy!

 

Now mes gots to run! Because today is Rainbow Bridge Remembrance Day (Thank yous Zee and ZOey's Peeps) wes having a BIG PAWTY at the Rainbow Bridge! Mes, Queen Nellie never misses a pawty! Mes LOVES to dance!

Thankfuls

 We are thankful that the weather is cooler (we are having seasonal temperatures this week and next week) and we had some RAIN! That means there air is breathable and we can hang out on the deck during the day!  All of us cats totally LOVE it! (So do the people and Cinnamon).

Awww-Some Monday with Periwinkle and Stinky

 We are so excited! We have special guests this week for our AWWW-Some Jokes! 

They go on exceptional adventures every Tuesday (except when Stinky went on his walk-a-bout). And we LOVE to go along with them. This week, they are still going adventuring tomorrow, but TODAY, they are coming to visit ME (and Kozmo and Jo Jo and Cinnamon) and we are going to tell some AWWW-Some jokes!

 

Here I am checking the tunnel! We LOVE our tunnel and I had to make sure that there were no tripping obstacles. (Kozmo and I like to play jokes on each other). Right after I finished the inspection, the alarms rang, the tunnel makes some noise and...

 

They are Here!!!! 

 

We all had a snack. Kozmo had caught some voles, but we all really just wanted the Temptations! And we had some catnip flavored ones!After we were done, we started the Jokes!

 

We ALL Laughed!

Next was MY TURN!

 

 

They both gave me the answer at the same time!!! They are on the same wave length!

Then we went lizard hunting. Stinky and Periwinkle have fast paws! They caught way more than me! Stinky told a great lizard joke...

The Gang Does Selfie Sunday

 Hi Guys! It was cool and rainy today! We all loved that! The air smells so fresh and it rained enough for some of the smoke to be washed off the trees and the grass. Everything looks so much better. And us animals feel better too! When Mom asked who wanted to be part of Selfie Sunday at The Cat on My Head, we all raised out paw!

First is Kozmo!

He's really happy that the grass had a good washing! He really did not like licking all the accumulated smoke off his paws and he is sending a special shout out to his lady love!

Next is the beautiful Jo Jo!

It is tough to get Jo Jo to look at the Camera! She is laughing at Kozmo. He is so funny when he is sweet talking the camera. 

Next up is Me! Marv!

 We have guest Jokers tomorrow! Stinky (from The Cat on My Head) and Periwinkle (from Furrends Furever) are riding the tunnel to our house! I was outside scoping out the photo shoot spots and I took advantage of the fact that Kozmo was inside and I could sit on the tree on the deck. I just barely managed to get my paw back far enough  after pushing the button.

Finally, its our Hairy Slobbery Sister Cinnamon! 

Do you know why she is so intense? She wants Mom to throw the ball that she is holding!
